So...there was Wing Madness at Whole Foods this morning...staffers bring out trays of hot yummy chicken wings...barbecue, Maryland Crab flavored, Teriyaki, regular...there is no announcement...they just being them out...and you get in line and stuff your bucket...we were new to the wing game so the ladies at the prep food area told us to really stuff our buckets. I didn't totally get that until I watched some more experienced bucket stuffers...lol...and they really stuffed their buckets!
Then...out of the blue...Den and I had a mild quiet unobtrusive non scene making tiff about flavors...I wanted barbecue, he wanted regular and he didn't want my barbecue to touch his regular...and he refused to try Maryland crab flavored...so...I let him stuff the bucket but when I saw the space on top...oh my...I channelled my dad...and stuffed ten more wings in...it was awesome! I never would gave done it had they not told me to stuff it...if you put in 12 wings or 24 the price is the same...so why not stuff it? We stuffed the bucket...or rather I did with help from my dad!
So...off to hang with Den and watch pre game stuff...
Happy Sunday! Oh...I am reading kind of an unusual book for me...but it's really extremely good...
Did I say how much I envy Superbowl food? It might make watching the show worth it...LOL.
ReplyDeleteI am reading and loving Fangirl. Can you imagine? Have a great day.
Such a deal, the bucket stuffing. Yum. I would try them all. Too bad there was no wax paper to keep them from touching. Ha!
ReplyDeleteNext time I will know!
DeleteWing Madness? What fun... wish Whole Foods would open near here!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of that before - I wonder if they do that at our Whole Foods.
ReplyDeleteI think they always have wings but this was a Super Bowl special that ran the entire week end.
DeleteI'm guessing the Maryland wings are Old Bay? I could totally get behind that.
ReplyDeleteYes! Totally!
DeleteI would have just grabbed a lid from the salad bar and put it in between.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of the bucket stuffing. I will have to check it out next year! And I like McGuffy Ann Morris's idea of wax paper so the flavors don't mix!

Good idea to just stuff another bunch in, and you can eat the borderline ones "touching" Den's plain ones, lol. It's like when we get bags of bagels from the bakery and no one wants the plain ones to be in the same bag as the everything bagels. Decisions, decisions...glad you had a yummy Super Bowl day. I always make turkey chili and cornbread, and then snacks, but no one was home except my hubby and I last night, so I didn't lay out any snacks after all.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny the way we view things! Wings touching or not...I didn't think that would bother him...lol...
DeleteBut did you stuff it with barbecue or Maryland crab flavor?! STUFF IT!!!!!!.....My my...I love the way that sounds! :-D Hee hee hee hee. ...
ReplyDeleteYou are funny!
