I do not ever wish my days away but this time of year...I start thinking just a teeny bit about Fallish Festivities! Pumpkins and mums and just a few long sleeves? Sigh!

I have to read these over the next few days...

Did you know that football has started? Just preseason but still...Den had on the familiar sounds of the Red Zone yesterday...

Oh well...

Miscellaneous Stuff!

Today was a four stop day for me...Den had a six stop day...he dropped me off and went on to grab wine and hit a bucket of golf balls...I think making more than two stops is exhausting!

First...Ulta for a new flat iron...mine is not cutting it...and Den needed shaving cream...Art Of The Shave...

Dick's Sporting Goods...Den needed a new club, golf shirts, and new golf shoes...Roxie got bright orange ping ping balls.

Trader Joe's for fun shopping without a list! Love this kind of fill up my pantry shopping...vinegars, sugar, oils, coffees, cheeses, dark chocolate peanut butter cups, Joe's salsas, tuna, beans, Joe's spaghetti o's...Trader Joe's shopping is just really fun. It's always a surprise!

Last for me was the SIW Vegetable Stand...so much local produce! We even got the first local apples.

I don't even know what I am going to do with these! Eggplant Parmesan?

Tonight I amusing Trader Joe's Pizza Dough and the vegetables I bought to make these...

Books!

About to start something new...

Finally...

We are "opening" up the downstairs today...turning off the AC...opening windows...letting fresh air in...today is a day without humidity!

I slept so soundly last night but at 5 ish I was awakened by two very hungry kitties...Lucy and now Roxie simply tap our faces softly at first and then resort to screaming...their little kitty tummies simply need breakfast and there is nothing to do but get up and feed them. But I had such a restful night...I just came downstairs, fed them, and settled on the sofa with my book and coffee. Now at 7:29 AM...lawn crews are already buzzing! Amazing! And these two are fed, settled and napping.

I can't wait to start this book! Laurel-Rain reminded me with her post about it yesterday that I had it. So...as soon as I finish Villa America...which is good but I am sort of not that into it...this one is up next.

Random Thoughts...

This meatloaf...I used turkey...was amazing...I love my Sheet Pan Supper book! There was no weird liquid...and the potatoes underneath were so yummy!

 

Tonight we are having this...it's the NYT macaroni and cheese recipe that uses cottage cheese. Plus you don't have to boil the pasta. It's the best recipe ever.

 

Making this, too...Bonappetit's Chicken With Dijon Sauce.

Apparently we are having a very saucy dinner!

Plus...I really want to make Banana Bread...I think this one is from Bonappetit !

Books...reading this...

Read and loved the first one...I guess it's middle grade fantasy...and...it's so good...great fantastic funny characters!

Just started this one, too...based on the real life inspirations for F.Scott Fitzgerald's Tender Is The Night. This author wrote Tigers In Red Weather...which I think I read? Ha ha...

More random thoughts...

I hate fruit salad.

I hate green salad with fruit in it.

I think I just ripped my white summer chenille bedspread when I tried to lift it out of the washer.

I woke up last night at 11:02 and the night before at 1:00.

Roxie and I went to a far bedroom to watch TV...while Lucy and Den slept like rocks. So unfair...usually I just start reading my Kindle and fall right to sleep but for the last two nights I have been wired.

We are going to see Peter Cetera again at a venue that's much closer.

I don't have any packages on their way to me. That's a phenom...ha ha.

Off to make that Banana Bread...

Books!

Lots of YA popped into my life last week...I was so into Baker's Blues that I barely noticed! Then we started watching Alone from the History Channel? OMG! It's like Survivor only worse! But we binge watched 9 episodes! These contestants were allowed to take ten things onto Vancouver Island with them...the man who lasts the longest wins $500,000! But there is so much to deal with...weather, bears, cougars, no food!

 

Back to books...new YA...

 

These two are not YA...

I think I am being tested...I can't settle on a new book...the last two books that I read were so good I can't decide what to read next...so I am still deciding! I hate when that happens!

We have been inside because it's been raining all day...so this day has been low key for sure!

We are having this for dinner. The Yukon Gold potatoes cook underneath the turkey meatloaf...I hope!

I am off to finally choose a book!
