It Doesn't Feel Like Friday!

Today we drove to Skippack...a sweet town that is one hour and one minute away from us. It's where we always went for hair appointments. We have not been there for almost a year...because...well because of all that happened this year. We walked in and were surrounded by our old friends. Hugs and tears and a special friend telling us how she prayed for me all year. Sometimes I don't realize how amazing people are and how caring. I pray that I can give back all of the kindnesses that have been given to me this year. I will!

I am nowhere near ready for a hair cut...we went there for Den. He was going to a salon near by but it wasn't the same kind of cut he was used to. It felt so normal to be doing this again...so beautifully normal. My stylist/friend likes how my hair is coming in...it's even and nothing is really sticking out except my spikes...we might tip them in a color when they get longer. Fun! I need fun!

Books...

Finished these...both were yummy! Absolutely no clue what I am reading next...

Perhaps one of these...

Cooking...

I need these! This could be breakfast, lunch or dinner! From a lovely blog called Spoon Fork Bacon!

And this pasta salad...it's a Bruschetta Pasta Salad from Lovely Little Kitchen...

That's ny Friday...have a great week end...see you on Monday!

Hugs,

Patty

Wednesday...

Books...

Reading these...again...why do I make a plan when I never stick to my plan?

Watching these...

I have weird TV taste...

Cooking these...

Salads topped with salmon or tuna steaks...pictures are from Pinterest because who remembers to take a picture of dinner! But our salads were amazing...is it me or does an avocado make everything taste better?

I want to make this tomorrow. It's from a blog called Simply Delicious...Soy Noodle Salad. It is eaten cold so I can prep it in the morning!

Right now...

I am getting ready to walk on my treadmill...it's been rainy off and on here all day. I miss my trail. But going outside is not possible today...sigh.

Hair update...

I actually brushed my hair yesterday...what a feeling...but now I have a spiky something in the middle of my head...I don't foresee a time when I will ever be hatless! Oh woe is me!

My treadmill awaits...

Hugs,

Patty

This is the top of my head. See the spike? A far cry from my long locks...sob!

Happy Monday!

It's 2:10 in the afternoon and Den and the "girls" are napping. I am reading and resting but I don't really like napping. Den seems to need them...but I would rather sleep all night than nap in the day. I like quiet time. Quiet time is good! I can get a lot done while the other three take their naps.

Elderly Lucy seems to want to meow more and in a really loud manner. Much younger Roxie is obsessed with closet doors. Every shut door is a door that needs to be opened for her. She especially loves our closet door and all the fun stuff inside. She also loves the closet door in the bedroom at the end of the hall. When I open it for her she almost seems to gasp in wonder and amazement. Den...well...there is much going on in the world that grabs Den's attention. Now that it's football season he can be very loud. He doesn't watch any game quietly.

This is why I love when they are all sleeping. It's peaceful. It's quiet.

It's lovely!

Books...

Reading this...yes...another fantasy. This one is supposed to be a sort of "reimagining" of Snow White. Two young girls who aren't really girls are rivals in this book. It's oddly addictive but for some reason I get weird over books that I start in the middle of the night...that was the case with this one last night. This one is from NetGalley.

I think I might read these this week...

This week is kind of busy as my life gets more and more normal. We shopped at Whole Foods/Amazon today...I have a manicure and pedicure tomorrow...Den is going to play golf on Wednesday for the first time in a year...we are driving to our Skippack hair stylist on Friday...the hour long trek we used to take every 6 weeks. Den is getting his hair cut...I am nowhere near needing a haircut and color is out of the question for a long time. But I will ride along and visit with our stylist...in my baseball cap!

Hugs,

Patty
