Oh My! My Forgotten Friday Post!

I can not get away from flashbacks! This entire book was a now and then kind of book...sort of a flashbacking duel between Madeleine and her grandmother Margie! I some how have to eliminate these from my reading life for a long time! I am starting to dread them! With that rant...I did not enjoy this book.

So...today there is a Murder She Wrote Marathon! On the Hallmark Channel...which I never used to ever watch before! What have I done to myself? And Den? And my girls? We all want to move to Cabot Cove, Maine! Den is disillusioning me because he said all of the filming took place in California! My only saving grace is that I can never just sit and watch these...they are my background...but I swear Roxie jumps up close to the tv when she hears Jessica Fletcher's voice. And I have a desire to get some of Jessica's Englishy blue pottery.

Jessica's house...home of the always on coffee pot and lots of pies and cobblers! But she also kept an apartment in NYC! Cosmopolitan Jessica!

Tons Of Rain!

It's been dark, rainy and cool all day long!

Literally...Den, Patty, Lucy And Roxie have accomplished nothing today. We should be ashamed of ourselves! These two appear to be having a serious conversation about our lack of energy! Den and I watched a Murder She Wrote! Did you see Jessica Fletcher/Angela Lansbury on the Tony's on Sunday? She still looked lovely!

So...I usually think I know lots about new books but how did I miss this one? I am scrambling now to find it for review!

So...

I finished both of these...and while I enjoyed them...I didn't love them. The last few books that I have read have been loaded with flashbacks which I think I am getting tired of...The Dollhouse...more flashbacks!

This was a really good book about a transgender teen...sad and very insightful!

So...what am I in the mood for now?

Tuesday's Trivia!

Tummy troubles are not gone but I am feeling sooooo much better today!

I woke up this morning to one kitty sleeping next to me on my pillow and another kitty tucked into my waist. I opened my eyes and saw Den reading on his side of the bed all alone! Apparently Lucy and Roxie know how to use him! They sit on his chest to get him up...he feeds them, gives them fresh water and then they fall in next to me for their morning nap!

As much as they love him they will get up out of a deep sleep to follow me anywhere!

The weather here today is amazing...Den and I have a date to sit on the deck and read...he is reading Lilac Girls and loving every bit of it! The only sad thing is that he hates when I even mention the book he is reading...he thinks I am going to reveal stuff! Well...maybe I am!

Books...

I read a lot this weekend...it was hot and steamy and muggy and even sitting outside on the deck was not that much fun...plus...we really have not put much deck furniture out...the deck is scheduled to be power washed and stained but we aren't on the schedule until the end of the June. So...it's just one more thing that seems undone in our lives. I have been having some upset stomach issues...yes...seeing a gastroenterologist in a few days...I can't imagine how much fun that will be.

ICK!

 

Books...

So...I read a few books over the week end but none were that incredible....and then I finally got to this one...which I thought would be so summer beachy Nantucket amazing...and it just kind of fell flat. This was so sad for me! Too many characters, odd situations, unbelievable premises...again...just sad.

Sigh!

Ok...I am off to moan and groan...my sweet girls won't leave my side!
