Oh My! My Forgotten Friday Post!

I can not get away from flashbacks! This entire book was a now and then kind of book...sort of a flashbacking duel between Madeleine and her grandmother Margie! I some how have to eliminate these from my reading life for a long time! I am starting to dread them! With that rant...I did not enjoy this book.

So...today there is a Murder She Wrote Marathon! On the Hallmark Channel...which I never used to ever watch before! What have I done to myself? And Den? And my girls? We all want to move to Cabot Cove, Maine! Den is disillusioning me because he said all of the filming took place in California! My only saving grace is that I can never just sit and watch these...they are my background...but I swear Roxie jumps up close to the tv when she hears Jessica Fletcher's voice. And I have a desire to get some of Jessica's Englishy blue pottery.

Jessica's house...home of the always on coffee pot and lots of pies and cobblers! But she also kept an apartment in NYC! Cosmopolitan Jessica!

The harbor in Cabot Cove or wherever...
Jessica's dishes...
Jessica is on?

Off to start our Saturday!
Hugs,
Patty
I have no clue what I am reading next but it will definitely not have flashbacks!
Maybe this?

  1. I have Murder She Wrote on like background, too, but I remember loving to watch, and how much fun it was to study her interiors. I'm very fascinated by the decorations in houses in a TV show or movie. My daughter used to laugh at me when I pointed out how I loved the bed and the bedding in a show...right during the love scene! lol

I'm thinking Murder She Wrote would make a good binge-watch on Netflix, if it's there.

    Enjoy!

    2. I added it to my Netflix page. I had no idea it had 12 seasons, but I loved watching it every Sunday night when it was on network TV. Now, on Hallmark, it is just background, because I want to start from the beginning...and binge!

  2. Sorry about the flashback stories. I only can handle them for a certain time frame, then enough already! The book you are choosing next has time travel-ish concept to it, I thought I read... hope there aren't many flashbacks!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and find a flashback-free book to read.

  4. Sorry you didn't enjoy this one more. But- at least you know what you don't want to read next. I hope you can stay away from flashback books for a while. :)

  5. UGH how frustrating. Flashbacks can be VERY annoying, especially if the author doesn't know what he/she is doing with them. It can be VERY tricky.
