After giving up red meat for a while...I made this for dinner last night...sigh...a free form meatloaf! It was so yummy! Mine looked just like this one...sort of...
It's called...Mom's Meatloaf! It was adapted from Ben Bettinger, Portland Penny Diner, Portland, OR.
My brother has started a wine blog. He calls it John Uncorked. He writes about wine...duh...and he writes about it beautifully!
Making this oatmeal banana bread today...from Joy The Baker. Looks yummy, doesn't it?
I want to shop...but we are between seasons...so...what's the point? Saving up for Eileen Fisher...I have to have these very weird pants! So my style!
Reading this...scary, chilling, so very good!
Off for more coffee!
I'm not a fan or red meat but my doctor has told me to eat it at least once a week - there's some mineral or vitamin in there that I need.
ReplyDeleteWere you the inspiration for your brother's blog?
Once a week is probably good...and enough...
DeleteI like to think I was the inspiration for his blog but I think he needed something to do on his weekends in London...lol...
I have to check out the book, for sure. It looks interesting. Banana bread goes good with books!
ReplyDeleteIt is my personal opinion that banana bread goes with tons of things...but book reading especially...a thick slice on a paper towel broken and eaten is my favorite way...
DeleteWe should SO shop together.
ReplyDeleteAnd that meatloaf looks amazing.
I love meatloaf.
This meatloaf was amazing...and I could live in these clothes all summer long and not need one more thing...well...maybe one more thing...but that is it!
DeleteI would trip and fall on my ass in those pants, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWe made meatloaf the other night, sometimes I crave it. So weird, but so good. I especially like cold meatloaf sandwiches the next day.
I know...meatloaf...I did use organic free ranged beef but I really felt guilty!
DeleteI am so over coffee today! I made a huge iced mocha before I left to drink on the drive and then I had two cups here. I am now having a snack to balance it all out.
ReplyDeleteI worry about those pants. They are lovely, but I can see someone tripping and breaking a leg in them.
Audition prep tonight!! They get their lines and songs tonight and then auditions are next week! I am loving the music from Beauty and the Beast. I hope they get good parts!
I hope everybody gets the parts they want!
DeleteThat banana bread looks delicious. Meatloaf I can do without, but my daughter and husband like it occasionally.
ReplyDeleteI like it every once in a while but banana bread all of the time!
DeleteThe Burning Air sounds fascinating!
ReplyDeleteI just had meatloaf (grass fed beef) for the first time in over a year a few days ago! It was so delicious. It reminds me of growing up. :)
I know that is the thing about meatloaf! It's very comfort foodie!
DeleteI am not sure if my last comment went through- but I just had meatloaf (grass fed beef)a few days ago. It had been over a year ago since I had it! Reminds me of growing up. :)
ReplyDeleteIt did but twice is nice!
DeleteI don't eat red meat very often, either...but I find myself drooling for "comfort" dishes like meat loaf and pot roast....
ReplyDeleteEvery once in a while is ok...right?
DeleteOh, that meatloaf looks tempting. It's been a while I had some red meat, too :)
