Why I Love Summer...By Patty

I love summer because of these...Gentle Souls sandals...so comfy...so walk able...when you buy 7 pairs of shoes...you get the 8th pair free!!!
I am on my way...



I love summer days for reading in this by the pond...


I love summer because of these from the garden...tomatoes on toast...good crusty bread and a juicy slab of fresh tomato!!! A swipe of good mayo and salt and pepper...oh me oh my!


I love summer because of these...a slightly tanned wrist...loaded with bracelets...any combo of your choice!


I love summer for tons more reasons...I could go on forever...but mostly I love it because as a teacher...whether you are teaching or not...that last day of school...is such a joy...such a feeling of "school's out for the summer" ...I can't even describe it...the staff at my school...custodians, secretaries, cafeteria ladies...all of us would stand outside and wave goodbye to the kids in the buses...it was such a fun ending...so bittersweet...and then we would go inside and dance!!! I have not taught for three years now but I still am programmed to love the start of summer!

    Is that a photo of your own hammock? I have a nice spot for a hammock but I know that getting in and out can be tricky.

    I love summer for all sorts of reasons. I love the smell of sunscreen and the sound of splashing by the pool and I love spending the entire day on the beach while enjoying THE BEST tuna salad sandwiches ever with a cold slice of watermelon to top it off.

    Ooh, I love that hammock....it looks very cozy. My grandmother used to have one at her house....bliss!

    I also love big juicy tomatoes...and sandals. I have bling on my toenails after my first pedicure of the season.

    And as a social worker, since our clients were kids, we were also programmed around the school calendar. And for several years, I was married to a teacher....

    I love it all! Those sandals look so comfy!! I want a hammock! Fresh veggies and fruits are the best. :)

    I love summer because school is out and I can read, read, read. And write, write, write. I can sleep in and go to the beach. I can visit with family and friends and I don't have to correct papers every weekend! Yeah! One more month and I will say goodbye to my class- which always makes me cry as they head off to middle school. Bittersweet!
