Every Sunday we have a wonderful yet ordinary routine...breakfast, papers, movies, iPads, books.
It doesn't really change and we like that it doesn't. It's pleasant and relaxing and easy and fun.
We like staying home on Sunday...that is until about five ish when one of us...not me...says...shouldn't we be doing something useful?
Since this same question is asked every Sunday...I should come up with a really amazing answer...
and yet I have none...
I think we are doing something useful!!!

I agree, relaxing is important. :) And such a cute bunny picture!
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love a bunny?
DeleteI agree with you!!
ReplyDeleteI feel better!!!
DeleteThanks!!!
Perfect Sundays full of things you love are "useful" in and of themselves. That's what I think, anyway.
ReplyDeleteI saw a movie On Demand today that was really intriguing...it was called Carnage, and starred Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, and a couple of forgettable guys.
It was like a brutal parlor game of words. Directed by Roman Polanski. I'd never even heard of it before...have you?
Never...that's a new scary one!!!
DeleteThat sounds like a perfect Sunday to me. And your answer 'We are doing something useful' is exactly correct. Having some regular unstructured time is just as necessary as having busy active time, which I'm sure most people have more than enough of. No one ever sits down to a meal and says 'Shouldn't we be doing something useful?' You ARE doing something useful!
ReplyDeleteI say, keep your Sunday's open for freeform relaxation - it does a person good :)
I love your answer!!!
DeleteTotally useful! I'm trying to train my kids that at the very least Sunday mornings should be for hanging out, reading, puttering around the home.
ReplyDeleteIt just has to be a slow down day!!!
DeleteI love to get a chance to relax everyday :)
ReplyDeleteYou are doing something useful! It is important to relax each day- and to have one whole day to relax is so good for the soul and mind!
