Lucy knew...
I admit defeat.
I am incapable of reading more than one book at a time.
I am even incapable of leaving books in separate rooms.
I tried.
But before I went to bed...the scattered bookmarked books were back in a tidy stack...
to be read when I finish Elizabeth George's new book...
which is the perfect book for me on this cold wet icy rainy day.
I am obviously not as freewheeling and flexible as I perceived myself to be at this time yesterday.
So sad...

No worries darling! It was a tall task.
ReplyDeleteJuju...thanks...I feel so much less pressure today...lol...
DeleteYou only gave it one day? LOL.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't stand it...it was torture...
DeleteThat experiment didn't last long. lol
ReplyDeleteI couldn't stand the books out of place!!!
DeleteI am right there with you! I can't have multiple books going at once- except in rare instances when one is for adults and the other is for middle grade kids. Also- I like to have my books in my "reading spot". Then- I always know where it is and I can get it and read somewhere else if I want. Always good to try new thing!
ReplyDeleteI am not good at juggling books either. Usually, if I start a new book while still reading another book, I will never go back to the first book.
ReplyDeleteThose of us who are a bit obsessive/compulsive like following a plan...lol
ReplyDeleteAn orderly plan.
You gave it your best shot....
Sometimes I will read a different book at night...but mostly I read one at a time.
That didn't last long! :) I can't read more than one book at a time, either. I get so engrossed in books. How could someone possibly have more than one going at a time? It's like cheating. ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah. You should have known...lol...
ReplyDeleteHey, now you know for sure. That's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI wonder...are you the type of person who can read, watch TV, and carry on a conversation comfortably? I'm not, really. I prefer doing one thing at a time. Although I'm always thinking of writing no matter what I'm doing!
ReplyDeleteKim...I can watch tv and read at the same time...but I have never wanted to read more than one book at a time...and now I know I dont even want to...
Deletetry it again...
DeleteIt must be quite a head ache! Glad you find the way out soon enough :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Tes, I found my way out...and I will never do that again!!!
DeleteLol!! We all have to do what works for us :) Either way, you're reading through more books each year than I am - by far!
ReplyDeleteI can plow through books one at a time, Jane, it's more than one that throws me...I am much wiser after my brief experiment!!!
ReplyDeleteWhile you are reading you newest books, and the popular books, I am juggling 3 cookbooks at a time trying to decide which of the three (library cookbooks) I want to order on Amazon, instead of wasting color ink in the printer for just about every recipe I like, it's cheaper to buy the book!
ReplyDeleteHave not read any novel in a while...I should check out your book list! I'm sure, Lucy is not a distraction for you, Patty...or is she?
LOL she is so darn cute:DDD
