Bookmarks? Hmmm...

One of my goals this year is to comment on more blogs. I must admit to having my faves...my regulars. I read tons of blogs! Bookish ones and foodish ones but I don't comment on all of them! I am going to try to comment more! Bloggers work so hard on their blogs...we get frustrated, burned out, tired of them...I don't want that to happen to me. I am really only blogging on Monday, Wednesday and Friday right now. That works for me. I love my blog commenters...both here and on FB. And every once in a while I get a personal note from a reader...that warms my heart. This past year I worried about reviews and books and my blog. I didn't want my blog to be just about the really rough year that I had. But I could not help writing about some of it. I have another close family member undergoing cancer treatment now...so life is even more fragile. Prayer, hope, strength...I need it all.

Bookmarks!

Carol's Notebook posted about bookmarks today with a place to link up...that's why I am writing about bookmarks. Everyone has beautiful bookmarks. I do not. I live with two tiny minions who destroy mine. We play a game called "Would you please stamp my ticket" and both kitties take turns "stamping/chomping"...

I have one good bookmark...but it won't last very long.

This is the most ferocious "stamper". OMG...that face!

I think I am reading these...I love Flavia DeLuce!

This one is a big family saga...loving it so far!

Yum!

I need these! The recipe is on cookiesandcups.com. They are loaded with seeds and chocolate and oatmeal...they almost look healthy!

Hugs,

Patty

  3. I don't have book marks for the very same reason. I LOVE pretty bookmarks with dangly and sparkly things. But the kitties love them more and they love them HARD.

    1. Isn't this just too funny? Roxie is a terror around paper and leather!

  5. I love seeds in a cookie. That photo of Roxy really cracks me up. What a personality.

How are you doing? I am feeling overwhelmed again. It happens and I do it all to myself by volunteering for too many things. I love to volunteer. I mean, when I am actually doing it I enjoy it quite a bit but when they stack-up for the week, I find myself worn out. Happy, but worn out. I've been a little anxious lately in general. I need some sort of creative outlet, I think.

I have AC now. I hope it is fixed for good. It was a manufacturer defect, which I said all along but it was past the warranty. The company cut a deal with up and the part was replaced. We shall see. The wild animals are still tearing up my yard but covering it with cayenne pepper seems to have toned it down. I did find a valve leak though so perhaps they are coming for the water. That will be fixed today.

    1. I am good! I can see how busy you are and why you feel overwhelmed...the question is...where will you fit in one more creative thing?

      Your yard is amazing.

The same thing happened with our AC...the question is do they just make stuff so poorly now that it is destined to fall apart?

  6. Yummy cookies! I love the look of As Close to Us as Breathing...and I still have tons of bookmarks sent to me for each of the first five books I published. They come in handy, and since I have no cats...they live on.

    Enjoy your week!

  7. I can relate. Tasseled bookmarks have to be kept hidden or else my two cats decide to have fun with them. I have a number of tasseled bookmarks with very little, if any, tassel left. :-) I still love the cats. And the bookmarks.

I hope you have a great rest of the week!

  8. I use a bookmark I had made for the blog. My old favorite is worn out.

  9. When our dog was younger, he chewed through more than a couple books. Chewing up a bookmark doesn't sound too bad, and the kitties are too cute.

    1. Thank you! We have learned that the tinier the cat...the sharper the teeth!

  10. Not sure why but I don't use dedicated bookmarks. Usually the promo sheet sent with a review book is what I end up using. Not very creative but it works.
Kind of craving one of those cookies now...

    1. I do that, too! I don't mind using the promo letters at all! Those cookies have just about everything in them...I have not made them yet...I can't find pepitas!

  12. Silly kitty. Our neighbor's cats left a hunting prize on our steps. I have to clean it up before I get the kids. Here, we grab anything for a bookmark. I use library hold receipts and scrapbook paper strips. I have no idea where all of my bookmarks are.
