An Interesting Development...

So we were at the beach yesterday and today. Yep...this lovely beach town barely two hours away that in our entire lifetime here we never went to. We went to Maine, we went to California but we never bothered with a beach town barely two hours away.

We spent all day yesterday with Shannon...our knowledgeable real estate agent. We took notes, we looked at villas, condos, townhouses, single family homes and cottages. We have a ton of information and a ton of things to think about.

Possibilities?

Sell here. Live full-time there. Build a regular house there.

Keep here. Live part time there. Build a smaller house or townhouse there. No maintenance. Just drive there and relax. We would keep bikes there, too!

Sell here. Live there until we really decide where we want to be even if it's in a smaller house for a while.

We still don't have any answers but we think we are getting closer.

Bethany is the kind of beach town conducive to walking and bike riding. There are beaches where you drive your four wheel drive car right onto the beach.

But, again, we still have no clue!

I leave you with a few of the places we saw yesterday!

Have an awesome week end!

Hugs,

Patty

  1. I love those houses...and the beach. I'm two hours away from some beach towns that I love...and don't visit enough. I've always wanted to move to one of them, even if the house is tiny.

    Bethany sounds lovely!

  2. We've been there Patty! Cape May NJ is another absolutely gorgeous beach town. Have you been there? I like it better than Bethany Beach.

    1. Yes, Peggy, it is pretty but we would never want to live in New Jersey...ever...those are not the kinds of beaches we like plus they call beaches the shore there...we hate that! Too crowded way too touristy...it's like Lewes and Rehobeth...just not for us.

  5. You live in an area with all four seasons, beach, mountains, all of the extras that you love. Why would you move? You already have it all.

    1. It's not really the area...we want a different house. This one...as much as we love it...is too big and too much work.

  7. That sounds wonderful... a beach town with four seasons and you can live there year round! We're heading home next weekend and I'm already dreading all the chores and yard work waiting. I know just what you mean about a too big house...
