In the middle of this...I think I thought it was about " old Hollywood" but there are cell phones...it's supposed to be a sort of "modern" Gatsby. I am not sure how I feel about this book. I think the cover made me think of a " gilded" era...
Up next...from Amazon...
" In this absorbing and suspenseful debut novel—reminiscent of Revolutionary Road and inspired by a little-known piece of history—a young couple must fight to save both their marriage and the town they live in."
Then this...a dysfunctional father/daughter story...
0ff to...
Walk with Roxie in the stroller in our 'hood.
Empty the dishwasher.
Fold towels that have been in the dryer for three days...I hate folding kitchen towels and dinner napkins.
Put fine washables in the dryer.
Put more laundry in the washer.
Try to finish Matilda...
Watch Sunday night's Librarian.
Enjoy your day!

The Longest Night looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Librarian? A show?
I am moving stuff around on my TBR list at the moment. Trying to get ARCs read but work some fun stuff in too.
I am way behind on my Thanksgiving meal shopping. I always buy the fresh stuff last minute but the other stuff I normally have by now. I have some of it but this weekend I have leader training and church and volunteering so my weekend is taken. I am off next week though and will most likely have to do it Monday.
I like to be finished, too, but we still need to pick up stuff on Wednesday!
DeleteLucy doesn't get to walk in the stroller?!
ReplyDeleteShe does but she was napping!
DeleteAnything reminiscent of a Richard Yates novel will get me to take a look... and The Longest Night looks interesting! Can't wait to hear what you think.
