Today we had a mission...we needed to find a peely white dresser for a way down the hall bedroom...it's the way down the hall bedroom that all of my overflow clothes are in...and rather than baskets and bins I wanted an actual dresser...so we had to trek across hill and dale to the antique barn because I knew I would find one there. And I did...as soon as I walked in the door my dresser was there...with a big old "HOLD" sign on it...but they let me buy it anyway!
And here it is...perfectly peely!
And this rooster! Den broke my chicken...my beautiful chicken that was always on the island...he fixed it but we had to put it in a safer spot...and on top of my peely white dresser there was a big old white rooster! It was meant to be! So...now he is home...guarding the island as a good rooster should!
And here is Lucy guarding the chair in our bedroom...
And here is Roxie guarding the bed...
And here is Den guarding his lunch...at Wyebrook Farms...which is the most amazing place!
Wyebrook Farms...
I think everything we ate for lunch was grown on the farm...plus now we are sharing a Wyebrook Farms oatmeal cookie! With their own strawberry jam in the center! It's a very big cookie...Roxie even stole a bite!
Happy Thursday!
Oh...and...every where that we drove today we had to drive around fallen tree limbs and trucks still trying to restore power! Some places on our route just got power back minutes ago. We had no idea that the storm was as bad as it was for our nearby areas!
Nice dresser. I think Den means business in that photo.
ReplyDeleteI made him eat a salad and we split a sandwich and he was mad!
DeleteBill has been in PA the last couple of days. He went up to the Northern area. He is leaving there, headed back to TX, now.
ReplyDeleteOur area is still fighting flooded rivers. The weather patterns are believed to stay like this for another couple of months. I am tired of the mowing and weeding. Stay safe.
These weather patterns are amazing. We now have very gray skies and a rainy forecast.
DeleteOh, I love peely white furniture, too. I have a couple of pieces, but mostly my white stuff is "battered by life." LOL
ReplyDeleteLove that bedroom chair, too; do you ever get to sit in it, or is it mostly the kitties who take it over? My cat Sasha (whom I had to give away when I moved here) loved my loveseat and she was the only one who could sit in it. (Yes, I gave her pronouns that suggest her personhood)...LOL
I sent you an e-mail about Ana of California...I got it after all. Yay!
Love the look of that restaurant.
Ooh, nice "peely white" furniture, lol. Love the look of your taste in furniture, and the rooster is something I would buy. Den does not look too happy in that photo, but I know you are happy with your lunch and new purchases :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! He just needed his lunch...lol! Plus he had to carry the dresser!
DeleteI love the dresser and the arrangement on top. :)
ReplyDeleteWhy....thank you!
DeleteThey were holding the dresser for you!
