I marinated the fish in a teriyaki sauce and then just tossed it in a pan...yum! Roxie and Lucy each had a tiny bite...but declined the steamed broccoli...lol.
But Den will be home soon and I want to tidy everything and make him a yummy dinner.
I think I am going to try this...it's a Slab Apple Pie. I am not good at making crust...I hate peeling apples...but I am determined. This one is from Brown Eyed Baker.
Wish me luck?
And I am finally getting to Damn Delicious's Easy Ramen...easy peasy!
Reading this...a good old police mystery...it's really good!
That's my Wednesday...it's rainy and kind of windy here...hopefully Den's flight will be on time....
Have a great day!
You can make the pie! The key to a good crust is to not overwork it.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice to have the bed to one's self once in a while?
ReplyDeleteThe noodles look good! Chloe Jo loves noodles! Good luck with the pie, too. I cannot make a good pie. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI can cook but not bake, so I hardly attempt it. Good luck with the pie, and if the crust fails, just put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a warmed slice & enjoy the middle!
ReplyDeleteYour book looks good-- I like police procedurals! Haven't read that author yet though. Have a warm cozy night.
I haven't made a pie in a long time! Probably because I live around the corner from Marie Callender's...I am totally lazy. But crusts were my challenge, too.
ReplyDeleteI had dinner at Marie's tonight because I got one of those birthday e-mails...I had to wait until I got a new cartridge for the printer, so I could print it out.
I thought my printer had stopped working, but after troubleshooting, realized it just needed a new black ink cartridge...Duh!
Enjoy all those extra pillows and the loud TV sounds....
Sounds like you and the girls had some fun while Den was away. :)
