Reading this...and really enjoying it!
This blurb is from Amazon...
"The New York Times bestselling author of Before I Fall and the Delirium trilogy makes her brilliant adult debut with this mesmerizing story in the tradition of The Lovely Bones, Her Fearful Symmetry, and The Ocean at the End of the Lane—a tale of family, ghosts, secrets, and mystery, in which the lives of the living and the dead intersect in shocking, surprising, and moving ways..."
It's Pasta Thursday! I am sautéing tiny pieces of pancetta in a pan with a teensie bit of fresh garlic...then I am adding a container of homemade ( from New Jersey) sauce...simmering it...and tossing imported Italian rigatoni into the pan...I add fresh basil to the plates...lots of freshly grated imported Pecorino Romano cheese...and we have dinner! I saw this recipe on an Anthony Bourdain travel show and it's become one of our favorites!
There is a similar recipe on the Barilla site...this pasta is just so good!
Happy Thursday!
That pasta looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteWe woke up to rain - lots and lots of it. Your pasta does look wonderful - now I need to find someone in NJ to make me some sauce! lol
ReplyDeleteWhole foods? But the next best sauce is Rao's!
DeleteWe are also having pasta tonight! I had to go shopping this afternoon, so this morning I made a dozen turkey meatballs, pan seared them, put in the slow cooker with (alas, store-bought sauce, Bertolli) and handfuls of fresh mushroom, onion, garlic, red pepper, & tomato. Will pour over penne and dinner's done! I love to read about all the yummy things that you eat!
ReplyDeleteWhen my last 2 young adult kids move out of the house I hope to be able to cook up some easier, but healthy and delicious choices, than I do now. One leaving in August, one next year sometime. Of course, I will still have all my furkids, but them I can handle :)
By the way, I read the first 2 in the Delirium series by Lauren Oliver when I used to buddy-read YA dystopian/PN with my eldest daughter, never got to the last one. I am excited that she is writing for adults too, as I don't read much YA anymore. Thanks for mentioning it.
I agree...that looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI am curious about Rooms....I know I passed it up in favor of other books, but I'm probably going to take another look.
ReplyDeleteThat pasta is making me salivate!
Gorgeous flowers, too.
I'm drooling over your pasta dish!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful plant!
ReplyDeleteI hope Rooms is great! I haven't read anything by her- but have heard wonderful things about her books. :)
