I woke up this morning with a cat on my head...or I should say I woke up this morning because I had a cat on my head! Lucy and Roxie Blue are so good about sleeping in their own beds but when Den leaves for work...apparently our bed is fair game. They are so quiet I don't wake up...but this morning I could not breathe...Lucy had worked her way into my arms and Roxie had her entire teeny body across my head...with a paw on Lucy...just trying to get close to her. And because my head was in the middle...Lucy let her...until she didn't any more. There was a minor tussle...and I was the only one who ended up with a tiny battle scar...sigh! They look so sweet here...hmmmm!
I should be doing a million things today...but I don't want to...
I will be making this for dinner...it's from a fave food blog called "Pinch Of Yum!"
I just happen to own almost half of a roasted chicken...and this has chicken and broken no boil pasta noodles in it...and a cheesy creamy sauce...and peas! The only problem I have is that I tossed leftover frozen peas in the same bag as fava beans so I either have to separate them or just use both...hmmmm...I am just excited to use my leftover chicken! I feel actually thrifty!

Trying not to feel guilty about feeling lazy...Den will be home tomorrow after his two day work week and we will either drive to the beach for lunch or see a movie or go to a Farmers' Market. We aren't used to this schedule yet so we either do way too much when he is here which makes me not want to do anything when he is at the office. Minor kinks in our life that we will work out...hmmm...my sister Paula's husband is a dentist who is working one day a week...she says she prays for golf and fishing seasons...lol.
Happy Thursday!
I'm such a light sleeper, I'm sure I'd wake up as soon as the cats jumped on the bed. Trying to figure out what to do when Den is home sounds like a good problem to have.
ReplyDeleteIt kind of is...
DeleteMy cat Sasha used to get on my head in the morning....to wake me up, I'm sure. Even though I always filled the food and water bowls the night before. As if that would satisfy her! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the look of the chicken/pasta dish.
Chloe Jo is in and out of our bed all night, every night. She is a perpetual baby. We just try to work and sleep around her.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny...Lucy and Roxie don't start roaming until Den wakes up...if I sleep in...they do, too!
DeleteLol...I remember when Sweetie would sleep on my head--and I'd start sneezing like crazy! Then I'd try to cover my face with the sheet because I couldn't bare to make her stop, she was so comfy. Lol...what we won't do for our girls, eh? :-)
