Still Working On Bins!

I am seriously still unpacking bins! I was in the crawlspace yesterday. I hate being in the crawlspace. But every bin is surprising and holds a memory from our travels, our families and our friends. June asked me how I got so many Santas...and...here's the thing...tons of my ornaments and Santas and snowmen came from students...even when parents were asked to not get teachers presents...they still would. So over 24.61 years of teaching primary aged children...I have lots of holiday stuff! I am loaded with favorite teacher ornaments...lol!

We are trying this year to not put out everything...but every time I open a new bin...something precious grabs at me...sigh!

Next topic! Lol...

Look at these cookie houses! I just really want one...one for me and one for Den! They are the fab idea from a blog called Sauce Daily! I seriously have to try these as soon as my bins are unpacked!







This is my idea of Peace On Earth...they are doing this more and more and longer and longer every day!






Reading this yummy book...sort of YA, a rumor of witches and a death! Oh...and a lovely midnight blue dress...hmmm...

    The Midnight Dress sounds so good!

    Going through the bins sounds like lots of fun- but lots of work, too! :) I still have lots to unpack. I have a snow day again today- but somehow I am still just catching up with regular life stuff. My house seriously needs to be cleaned and I was hoping to start that project by noon. But, it is after 3 and I still haven't started. Christmas cards and putting up my village come after cleaning! Yikes! :)

    It's going to be time to pack those bins back up soon. lol I'm so glad Lucy and Roxie are cuddling these days.

    I always believed Lucy & Roxie would work it out on their own terms. You and Den are supportive. Grizelda and Chloe Jo are littermates, and Grizelda sleeps with no one, especially Chloe Jo...Chloe Jo is very obnoxious though. *sigh* Maggie is so good with both of her minions.

    I am ashamed at how many bins I left in the garage, unopened. Every year, I bring out a little less, and keep telling myself "less is more." LOL

    I would love those cookie houses...and the adorable two kitties warm my heart.

    Oh Patty and then there's me, I do 't have one single decoration out at all! Scrooge is my middle name! I adore the photo of the girls! You should get a copy framed.

    Cookie townhouses? Looks like you could make them out of shortbread, my husband's favorite cookie. And something much more manageable to eat than an entire gingerbread house. Have fun building!

      I wonder if I could use Lorna Doone cookies and forget about windows or slanted sides...heck...then I would just be icing a box!
