Reading this now and it is so good. My only complaint is that the book is so heavy that it is very hard to hold...especially with two kitties in my lap...Lucy will only let me prop it on her for a few minutes and Roxie is useless as a bookstand...too squirmy!
I much prefer egalleys. I have mastered the art of holding kitties while touching the screen on my Kindle Paper White to turn pages. Plus...it's so light I can easily read and turn with one hand and hold and pet with the other.
These are due and overdue...sigh! But I am just going to focus and finish them when I can!
Wreaths are up! We actually did what we said we were going to do and went to the orchard after church and got them...a Starbucks Miso and an eggie McMuffin on the way home helped. We were there really early!
I will spend parts of this week just getting bins out and decorating.
It's Roxie's first Christmas with us so we aren't quite sure how she will treat the tree. Climbing toy...shiny things to bop...total indifference...or somewhere in between. We never use tinsel, we don't get poinsettias and we don't put curly ribbons on presents...these are all lessons learned from Lucy.
Off to put things in order and read Police!
Happy Online Ordering!
Bye bye, Turkey!
Hello Santas!
I am behind on everything and feel overwhelmed with all I have to do - I think reading will take a backseat to other things these next few days. The tree is in the house but it has no ornaments on it so it looks rather sad.
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling...lol...but you are scheduled tighter than I am...take care!
DeleteEasy to hold is definitely an advantage of an e-reader! I used mine a lot while rocking babies, holding a real book would not have worked! :) Happy reading! And good luck with Roxie!

DeleteThat is so right!
DeleteWhat a cute pillow!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I made it!
DeleteI feel your pain. I cannot get caught up. It is hard sometimes, being the only one at home.

DeleteThat was an auto corrected mess...lol...what I wanted to say was I totally agree with you!
DeleteLove your stone fireplace. It reminds me of a house I had in my first marriage...I loved the fireplace!
ReplyDeleteI didn't love the marriage, though, and left...LOL
I know what you mean about holding heavy books. Even without kitties in my lap, they are a strain.
I do prefer reading bigger books on my Kindle. My copy of Stephen King's 11/22/63 was in hardback, though, and I couldn't read it in bed. I kept dropping it.
Enjoy your week!
Now I am worried that my wrists are getting weak!
DeletePatty, those books all look delicious!
ReplyDeleteAnd they really are!
DeleteHappy reading! Books are hard to resist- that is why you get so many to read. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up we used to attach our tree to the curtain rod with fishing wire because our cat loved to jump onto the tree and knock it over! Good luck with Lucy.
