Postcards In The Mail!

I have...sitting on my desk right now...no less than 5 postcards from organizations who need my gently used clothing. All I have to do is walk to any closet and start emptying, cleansing, and donating. And these organizations will come to our door and pick up everything and leave a receipt! So why am I not in my closets...sorting, minimizing, and cleansing?

It's so simple...I am not in the mood...I am reading this...which, of course is a murdered abducted girl mystery so I am reading it obsessively because I need to know what happened to Dani Lancing and her poor obsessed mother and her father who thinks he sees her and her high school friend Tom who is now a detective.

Sigh!

I am giving myself 30 minutes more with this book. Then I am doing one section of a closet. Then I am making soup and bread for dinner. Then I will read some more and hopefully finish!
Tonight's soup is this one...from Faith From The Kitchn...it's sort of an Italian bean and pasta soup.

I am making this savory quick bread from AllRecipes!

Happy Reading!

  1. I missing fresh bread with butter to dip in my soup. I saw another post with Split Pea soup and now your soup post of course so needless to say, I want soup. What do I have for lunch? A green chile tamale.

  2. I was thinking of you and your clothes today. I can't go to a store and find clothes that I like that fit me so I wonder how you order them!

  3. As usual, your dinner looks so enticing. Thanks for sharing. I had a potpie (frozen), but from Marie Callender's. Somehow the frozen version never tastes as good.

I am reading Mother, Mother...and what a book! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that one...and tempting me into getting it.

Closet cleaning is always something I like to put off for as long as possible.

  4. I want to be in a book club with you, and I want you to host it, so I can bring the wine and come over and eat your scrumptious pasta fagioli and crusty bread (which would go nicely with either a dry red or white.) When should I stop by?

    1. OMG...wouldn't that be fun? I need the kind of book club where I am the boss and tell everyone what to do...just like when I taught second grade! Lol...
