Den is picking up bistro salads and artisanal pizzas from Sovano Bistro on the way home from work.
One of our little pies will have figs and pancetta...the other one butternut squash and goat cheese! It's our midweek survivor dinner. Plus...we have nothing here and I did not feel like going to the grocery store today...at all.
We also decided on a Pumpkin Salad...it has arugula, local pumpkin seeds, goat cheese, roasted hazelnuts...mmmmm!
The perfect dinner when I am not in a cooking mood! The table is set and we are ready.
I just finished this...it is the last of my overdue Vine books. I was so taken by this book. I think it is one of my favorites ever. Sisters involved with an artist and lots of lies, secrets, and sadness. It was so beautifully written. It was touching. It was memorable. I have seen it around but I never truly paid that much attention to it...my bad, for sure. I loved this book!
Up next...
Off to fold...
Happy Reading!
Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat GOB cover is lovely!
What would you do without food? I am drooling over here.
ReplyDeleteI should start a food blog...not!
DeleteI want to read that book, too....couldn't find it on Vine...maybe next time. Or perhaps I'll have to buy it....
ReplyDeleteYour dinner looks luscious. I keep avoiding going to the store. I think I might not. But I don't have anything good around. I may have to go to one of my favorite neighborhood places.
I'll fold your laundry if you'll come dust for me. That salad sounds wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI like laundry. I hate dishes! Enjoy your special supper...and books!
ReplyDeleteThose pizzas sound delicious!
ReplyDeleteThe Gravity of Birds sounds excellent. Wow! Also- I must try that pumpkin salad. Yum. :)
