Peonies! But I don't think you can plant them and have lovely flowers right away...I think you have to wait a while?
Lilacs, too...I seem to plant the flowers my grandma loved...we have a white lilac and a purple lilac tree but the purple one has not had flowers in two years...I guess I need to google some reasons why.
Another cool photo from Pinterest.
And last year we planted my mom's favorite...it is called Rose Of Sharon...isn't that unusual?
Finished this...so sad so sweet so good...mean mean girls and private school and a real honest to goodness mystery. Loved it.
Now reading this...magic from the first page...
This was such a busy day...I am exhausted and ready to curl up with my good book.
How about you?

I am obsessed with peonies. I think there is nothing prettier.
ReplyDeleteMagic from the first page?
Yep...not literal magic...reading magic...
DeleteI love peonies and lilacs. We have lilacs in our backyard, but I failed to get the peonies to grow. A green thumb I'm sadly missing. :(
ReplyDeleteI want to plant more and more.
DeleteNot sure on Peonies. We can't grow them here in SoCal, it gets too warm for them. Mom tried, but they never got through the season.
ReplyDeleteLast spring, our lilac got really confused and bloomed really early, because our weather was strange.

DeleteI think that they must do better on the East Coast...
DeletePretty!! We have some lilacs blooming! Early Spring here!
ReplyDeleteThe peonies usually bloom in late May...we'll see.
I would love to read The Girl in the Park; you have peaked my interest! *LOL*
It was good...can't wait to hear if they bloom!
DeleteMy mother loves peonies so they always make me think of her.
ReplyDeleteMust be one of those generational flowers!
DeleteLove those flowers! My grandmother (and mom) had beautiful gardens...and seeing flowers does remind me of them.
ReplyDeleteThat book The Girl in the Park looks very tempting....
It was good...there is something about lilacs in a jar!
DeleteAww peonies and lilacs....they're just my thing; dainty - fresh and withered are equally charming for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd am flagging that "magic from the first page" book of yours :p
It's a good one!
DeletePeonies are so beautiful. Love them! What fun and fabulous books- too! :)

I love lilacs and peonies are beautiful, but I would never have any in my yeard. I hate those little ants they tend to get before the blooms open.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you do with books you finish? Ever trade?
