Happy St. Patrick's Day?

I taught primary grades all over the country...I taught for 24.61 years.

I am geared to doing something special for holidays.

I feel the need to get bright green construction paper, a glue stick, glitter and some kid scissors and make a shamrock!!!

Or two...

I want to color some shamrocks, do shamrock math and solve a shamrock find-a-word...

But just today...

I am used to seeing adults wear shamrock earrings that light up and leprechaun sweatshirts or headbands with bobbling shamrocks that actually blink.

Really bobble and blink...

Disclaimer...this isn't Lucy...she refused to wear her hat!!!

  1. Happy St. Patrick's Day! I suspected you might be handy with the construction paper, scissors, and glue!

Earlier I went out to lunch and was tempted to have the corned beef and cabbage...but didn't. Vegetable soup for me!

I did a St. Patrick's Day post over at Potpourri.

  2. Is your Whole Foods market open now?...Yeayy! Great if it is, bet you are already spending some quality time there now.
You should have been at Lora's house...table full of construction paper, glitter, paint, scissors, the whole works. The kids are always so eager to do their artwork for every special holiday, and bring a whole bunch from school, as well!
    Hope you're enjoying the St. Paddy's Day:DDD

  4. This is sooooo funny....
I was always cognizant of St. Patricks Day... and I mean Always... When I was little my dad pinched me and I never left the house without green again...
Until yesterday. I went downtown to feed the homeless and realized I did not have a speck of green on me... and you know what? Not one person noticed!

  5. I love doing things to make holidays festive! I went to a St. Patty's Day party- so there were lots of shammerocks and green to be seen. I can imagine after teaching for so long it is weird not to be doing a craft or other related activities on holidays! I bet you were a fun teacher! :)

  6. I've always admired how teachers can pull off their clothes and accessories that bobble and blink. It's a talent.
