The papers are read, the Starbuck's coffees are gone, Den's fab scrambled eggs and ham are devoured as are the cinnamon rolls from Talulah's Table...dinner has been determined, lunch is whatever...and football is in our future...plus lots of good reading time for me...

Spent the day taking down Halloween and getting out some Thanksgiving things!

Brrrrr...It's Cold Outside!

Reading...

I am loving this book...it is filled with food and chefs and angst ridden teenage daughters, babies and an affair among friends. I think I first saw it on Laurel-Rain's blog and when I had the opportunity...I snatched it up. I cannot stop reading it.






Dinner...

We are going out tonight to a brand new local restaurant...the menu looks marvelous and we get to bring our own wine!






Life...

Lucy is still not quite herself...part of that is the meds twice a day but we don't trust her near stairs or railings so she is downstairs only...in the tent at night. I think we are moving her into Den's study at night this weekend. It's still in the planning stages. The sunroom feels cooler at night now and we worry that she is cold. Plus we can shut the study door. She has managed to unzipper and break out of the tent twice! It's funny and sad at the same time! My sweet girl!

A Rainy, Cold, Dreary Day!

Finished this...and I never even told you I was reading it...lol...loved this book even though it had sad parts.






Now I am reading this...it seems to have sad parts, too.





But the two books above are real papery books and I never truly count them when I am reading something...so I am also reading these on my Kindle Paper White...












I guess I can no longer say I can only read one book at a time...I kind of like this kind of reading...next I might try audio and I have always said I hate audio...but if we take a road trip? Hmmm...might be fun! I would have to find a book that all of us would like...hmmm...whatever could that be? What would the perfect road trip book be?

Mid Week Break...Sort Of!

Yesterday was a much too busy day...landscapers were here all morning...the afternoon was full of errands...it was a 4 store afternoon...Target for Method cleaners, Petsmart for kitty foods, Fresh Market for groceries...and finally Pier 1 for room fragrances...exhausting starts and stops amidst tons of traffic because everyone was out and about for Election Day. Sigh!

Today the girls and I took the day off! Lol! We are reading and watching TV. We will make Den a yummy dinner of Stuffed Pork Chops...I have never made these in my life so I am totally counting on my recipe from allrecipes.

Finished this...so good...I can't believe I have never read books by this author before. The bonus is I have another one...another book by her! I didn't even know I had it.








Now reading this...just getting into it...

Back to my day off...Survivor, Top Chef...all kinds of yummy tv tonight...plus we
have pie of the pumpkin kind...and cream...the whipped kind!
