We're Back!!! They Shrink Wrapped The Boats!!!

This is a shrink wrapped boat in Camden Harbor...ready for the winter.  We stayed in a really unique boutique hotel right on the water.  There were only eleven rooms in our hotel and they were wondrous.  Our shower had so many sprays that you could not count them...it was delicious.  We love Camden this time of year.  Everyone is gone and restaurants are on winter hours and you can pretend that you live there.  We moved our car exactly one time.  We literally walked to everything.  That was our goal for this trip to Maine.  We actually loved the fact that it rained all day long on Wednesday.  We had a fire going and only ran out to grab lunch...a lobstah roll of course and dinner which that night was two steps away.  The rest of the time was spent lounging on the sofa in front of the fire.

Orange...My Favorite Color Once A Year...

I would never say that orange is my favorite color.  I don't buy orange clothing, or orange shoes, or orange furniture.  However...in October my house is overloaded with orange.  Pumpkins and paintings and quilts are everywhere.  Candles and plates and napkins and placemats in every hue of orange can be found on my table and in abundance.  Little orange pumpkin soaps and hand towels are in all of the bathrooms...I even put orange pumpkin stickers on all of my snail mail...and just the other day I bought Kleenex imprinted with orange pumpkins...Yikes...I barely have a few days left to indulge in my orange addiction.  On Monday it all gets stashed away in those big orange bins...perfection!!!



My Love/Hate For Halloween...

This is the only week of the year that I just sort of devour candy...and it has to be Halloween candy.  I need teeny little boxes of Milk Duds and little baby Snickers bars and I can't live without a little baby Butterfinger bar...OMG...I am not a candy person but I have it in bowls all over the house...ready for the 5 trick or treaters that we will get!!!  I think I have eaten 6 Tootsie Roll Pops this week  and quite a few little bags of M and M's...and Twizzlers, which I normally hate with a passion...it is just so addictive to buy these huge bags of Halloween candy...I have actually lined up little teeny tiny Snickers bars to see how many would actually equal an entire regular bar...which I would never eat or buy...I do not really like candy...other than this week when it is not to be resisted.  Oh...lest I forget the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Dots...and I only eat the orange dots...and I think I even ate a Blow Pop...I literally cannot wait until Sunday...I will put it all outside and just give everyone handful after handful so my life will be normal again.
