The Week's End!

I absolutely love all of the thoughts everyone gave me about our garage door. Everyone's thoughts really helped! We think we know what we are going to do.

It won't happen for 5 to 6 weeks...that's the time frame to get new doors installed!

Who knew?

Loving this book...it's one of thos books with highly addictive writing. I am hooked on every word.

I want to make these over the weekend!

Yum! All recipes are from The Kitchn.

Key Lime Pie!

Sheet Pan Grilled Cheese!
Farmers' Market Frittata!

I walked outside today! Just down our block and up again but it felt like a reasonable workout. Plus I could wear a baseball cap and tiny bits of furry hair stuck out in the back. I yearn for normal...I crave it. I still kind of cry for it every day. Sigh! Plus I almost went to Trader Joe's today but then I changed my mind...I guess I am not ready yet.

Have an awesome weekend! See you on Monday!

Hugs,

Patty

More Doors...And Book Stuff, Too!

Yep...we are still talking about doors...garage doors...these garage doors...here they are from all angles. Google research says that garage doors should not be a contrasting color but that's if they face front...Den has always made sure that all of our houses have garages that face...not front. I guess they face the side? The garage sellers are telling us that white is a better option but I am just not sure. I think I still love these green doors. I think the new ones will have windows. It's so sad that these are broken and we have to decide all of this stuff.

Here is the front of our house...and I still love the shutter colors as well as the door...so we have no clue what to do...yet. But I continue to think that white will just be so blah?

Help!

We will decide by Monday. For sure. I think.

All finished with my fantasy and my cozy mystery...reviews written! Yes!

Reading these...

Off to look at the garage...again!

Hugs,

Patty

Life And Garage Doors!

What is it with doors in our house? We are in the process of replacing the entire French Door section of our sunroom. That's literally the French Door and the ceiling to floor windows on either side of the French Doors. And the garage doors...Den has been getting quotes all week. He really wants wooden garage doors with windows but all of the doors, trims and shutters on our house are hunter green. The garage doors face the side but I don't think wooden ones make sense. We are still "pleasantly" debating this issue before the money dumping begins! Yikes!

Any opinions? Hunter green or wood? White is an option, too, that keeps coming up but our house is all Pennsylvania Fieldstone in the front with these Hunter Green shutters...the front door and garage doors have always been green...and rethinking to wood or white? Not sure...but...the garage faces to the side.

I am getting tired of this.

Books...books...books!

Loving this except when the meanest witch turns into an evil ugly bird and carries off Minx...I loved Minx! This was just not fair.

Loving this but I think I overdid it on three in a row...innkeeper Antonia is starting to annoy me a teensy weensy bit...all of a sudden she is a PI...rather than accidentally solving every murder in the Hamptons.

Really getting into this...more about it soon...

Off to walk...I am up to 25 minutes plus yesterday I cleaned out the guest room that we call Paula's room...named after my sister. Black pants, sweaters, pajama pants, cotton tops, dresses, workout clothes...4 huge black construction bags filled...I can't wait to donate them. I don't know why I kept them and I feel so much lighter with them packed up and gone.

Patty

Totally Tacos!

So...ever since Taco Sunday which should have been Taco Tuesday I have been really still hungry for Mexican foods. These popped up on my Feedly Feed and I want them all...

This recipe is from Oh Sweet Basil...it's a steak burrito bowl.

This one is from Chelsea's Messy Apron.
And this one is from Gimme Some Oven.

Why is Mexican food so yummy?

Den is going out for lunch with his boys today to our fave Mexican restaurant...sigh! Have fun, Den! I will be fine in my self imposed exile...I get to go out next week to three doctor appointments...and one blood test...that will be my outing. I know...I know...it's my own fault but my hair is not long enough yet...but it is really growing!

Books...

I have settled into these...

This one is turning out to be sooooo good!

Time for tea and books before working out.

Patty

Monday's Book Thoughts!

The sun was not anywhere near us this weekend...it was sort of dreary and cloudy and the air was thick and really humid. There wasn't any point to sitting outside at all. It was just too hot!

I finally figured out the mystery behind this book. At one point in time I had two copies...I obviously sent one to my sister. She read it but I never did. If I had only checked my overladen bookshelf of books to be read I would have seen another copy of it there. I didn't and bought another one...so at one time I had three copies of this book in my possession but I hadn't read any of them. My bad...and Amazon says it hasn't been published yet even though there are tons of reviews. It's either being republished or the alternate cover is confusing everyone. I certainly don't get it!

The book is very witchy and it's filled with spells and cats and spiders and lots of witchy evil. I am really loving it. I have so many copies of this book I should have a giveaway...but it's too YA witch specific for most people. You have to read YA fantasy to love this book.

A few new books...all from the publishers through Amazon Vine.

"From the author of the unforgettable New York Times bestseller We Were Liars comes a masterful new psychological suspense novel—the story of a young woman whose diabolical smarts are her ticket into a charmed life. But how many times can someone reinvent themselves? You be the judge."

Sounds intriguing?

"A searing portrait of suburbia, friendship, and family strained by a devotion to false appearances."
"Three Strikes is the new novel in a thriller series where a criminal psychologist uses her own dark past to help law enforcement catch dangerous killers."

We have officially declared Sunday as Turkey Taco Sunday. Den made the best tacos yesterday and we literally stuffed them with lettuce and tomatoes that were grown a few miles away from us...local romaine lettuce that was delicious! And tiny local multicolored tomatoes...we used ground turkey and Greek yogurt instead of sour cream...we never even buy sour cream any more. We ate early and that was nice, too. But I fell asleep at 8 and woke up at 10...just a little bit wired! So that messed up my great sleeping record!

Off to work out and do lots and lots of laundry!

Hugs,

Patty
