Friday Fun! Or Maybe Not So Much Fun!

We had to have the bags of giveaway stuff outside by 7:00 AM...the window was 12 hours...so...Den and I fell out of bed at 6:30 and started hauling massive bags from the basement to the front porch...by 7:15 we were done and exhausted...but lighter and happier! I had tons of Halloween candy that I bagged for the workers as a treat.

Next we waited for Ron The Plumber and Morvent Guy.

Ron The Plumber came...Morvent Guy cancelled...and then we were starving and exhausted...so...I thought...hot meatball sandwiches from Giordano's while apparently Den was thinking hot meatball sandwiches from Capriotti's...so...I called Giordano's but Den went to Capriotti's where they said no one called in an order so they made one for us specially. Den walks in and realizes that he went to the wrong place so he hops back in the car and races to Giordano's! We felt badly about not picking up the order.

We are the proud owners of 4 meatball sandwiches and 2 orders of beach fries...OMG!

Needless to say? No cooking tonight...I don't care what we eat!

Finished this...did not love it...

  1. Doesn't it feel good to get rid of stuff? It's so freeing. I wish I lived close enough to come get a meatball sandwich.

  2. Oh, I hate those HUGE windows of time you have to wait...but how lovely that you got rid of everything and then got four sandwiches...that's a funny story.

And interesting that you didn't love The Pocket Wife, (when I did! LOL), and you loved Finding Jake (and I didn't). We usually love similar books...except you also read a lot of books I wouldn't, so there you go. It's fun to compare, isn't it?

  4. Meatball sandwiches, yum! I make my own with turkey meatballs, a few Italian cheeses, marinara, sub bread and pop in the oven to toast...you gave me an idea for a meal this week :)
Nice of you to donate so much, even though you feel like you are just cleaning house.
Glad to know that The Pocket Wife wasn't a winner for you, because I trust your instincts, so maybe not for me after all.

    1. I am not sure why...I just didn't connect with the characters...they were off putting! Your meatball sandwiches sound really great!
