I Love Elin Hildebrand!

I would hop on a ferry and a jet in two seconds to get to Nantucket! I love this book!
This family...planning this wedding from the dead mother's Notebook...even has a tree named Alfie...with the perfect branch for the perfect swing!

There is nothing deep or dark in this book...just great writing and a great summer story! In Nantucket!

This is my Friday...relaxing with Beautiful Day!

Thank Goodness I Don't Mind A Rainy Day!

Because we have one...I think it has been pouring for hours and hours and hours and it is very dark and gloomy outside...hmmm...maybe I do mind rainy days if they are dark and gloomy ones!

Finished this...a very mysterious chiller thriller!

This makes me all caught up with Vine books for a while...so I am free to read any of these!

Sipping coffee with Lucy...she loves the Today Show! Cute kitty legs!

Roxie can't sit still that long! And she likes control of the remote! This is Roxie's dazed look after about eleventy leaps into the air!

One more cup of coffee and I will start my day!

Those Tomatoes...

OMG...we found local heirloom tomatoes yesterday...and...next to the produce place is a sweet little bakery where we found delicious whole grain bread...the result was this...for dinner! This is what a Brandywine tomato looks like...bumpy and weird but we crave them! They are sweet and juicy and unbelievably delicious!

Reading this...not really into it yet...sigh!

Reading this...more my style and I love it already...daughters, mothers, and lovely issues!

I just received two copies of this one in the mail...one for me and one for you! Lol...
Giveaway to be announced soon! It's a sort of historical novel...or rather a novel set in history...

double yum!

So...we have turned off the air conditioning...it is in the 50's this morning...I have vacuuming, tidying, laundrying to work on today!

And reading!

HumDrum Tuesday...

Doing stuff around the house...then going out and about...a "delightful" trip to Lowe's and a quest to find local tomatoes because we never planted a garden...Den is off for a few days! Time for fun! That means weeding, mulching, watering, pruning, cleaning!
I think that this is a local tomato called a Brandywine! That's what we are looking for!

Finished this! It is such a surprising book...it includes the ghost of Jacob Grimm...pastries...and a chilling villain...literally read the last quarter breathlessly.

This book was awesome...I don't do audio but this book would be an amazing audio...

Reading this...no opinion yet...too soon...way to soon!

Reading Lots Of Books!

So deliciously good...it's the story of Jeremy Johnson Johnson who hears the voice of the ghost of Jacob Grimm. Jeremy's father has given up...their only source of income is the Two Book Bookstore...left to Jeremy by his grandfather...and about to be reclaimed by the bank. This book just keeps getting better and better.

I have finally learned that setting any kind of reading goal never works for me...I would love to read these this week...but who knows? Who cares? I must be a moody reader...this week anyway...

Loved The Yard...one of my favorite mysteries ever!

Love anything with nice vampires...

This one...parallel worlds and magic? Yum! Described as an " international thriller"...

I have to read this one...and I will!

This Is Our Sunday!

Lots of this...

Lots of these...

Interspersed with these two...who seriously behave like two year olds...nipping at each other...whining by their food bowls...wrestling with pillows...and just being cute!

The rest of the day is a free for all...it's dreary and rainy...do we go out or just stay put?

I say we stay put...have a tomato soup grilled cheese dinner...watch Big Brother, New Jersey Housewives, Food Network Star...and call it a day!

Hmmm...

Reading this...kind of unusual but I have read a number of reviews that said that this book starts sort of quietly and then it gets magical...I am all about magical!
