A Week Of Obsessions...

If you have not ever tried this chocolate...you really should.
It is pretty amazing.
I keep a bar to grate over the top of whipped milk in a latte.
Very yummy.

I am about to lose it over the chocolate covered almonds...a personal weakness of mine.
I am at this moment filling my cart.
Another obsession.

And tossing these in the cart, too.  I love virtual shopping.

Hmmm...are you obsessed with certain chocolates?

Just My Type...

This was a delightful surprise in the mail from Shelf Awareness and the video is absolutely mesmerizing.
I have watched it a lot of times.
But I am obsessed with fonts.
When I was teaching I had to do everything in KidPrint.
Font is so personal to me and I really don't know why.
I am not happy if my font doesn't look right to me.
Uh oh...
revealing way too much.
Yet another passion and obsession.
Fonts...
Who knew?

The book is both informative and humorous and reveals some fascinating facts about fonts.

I know I should not ask...because you probably do not...
but does anyone else have an itty bitty obsession with fonts?

My New Favorite Holiday!!!

Did you know that today is National Buy A Book Day?

And so I did...but I kinda sorta do that almost every day...according to the person I live with who tracks these things!!!

But it is a wonderful holiday to celebrate...don't you agree?

Labor Less Day...

I will say this again...we did nothing all week end long.
Oh...we did do these things...cancelled dinner reservations, postponed grocery shopping, put off laundry, did not clean gutters, did not do any trip prepping at all.
Oh...and we also put off getting paint for the bathroom, postponed choosing a new counter top for the kitchen and put off rescheduling dental appointments.
Laziness seemed to seep into our pores.  My husband woke up really early yesterday to tell me that he had fed Lucy and cleaned the bird's cage and emptied the dishwasher.  Then he sat down and promptly fell asleep.  I also did not mail three ( now four ) packages that absolutely had to go in to the mail ASAP.  They are still sitting on my dining room table.  We also did not make a final decision about our roof...to roof or not to roof ( this year ) seems to be our big debate.
So funny...
We did play games, read, nap, enjoy a yummy glass of wine and do some online shopping.
We grilled salmon.
I made a loaf of bread.
We got the dryer fixed.
Now...that has to count for something!!!

Unfortunately my Kindle is exploding with books...I just finished Fury...which was really different and really good.
And I just started Sweet Venom...which is really different and good.
This is a rainy Tuesday here...and I am about to settle down with my Kindle and a latte...and read and rest just a little bit more!!!
Did you have a lovely day yesterday?
I hope you did!!!

Heavenly Cinnamon Scent...

I seem to be on a cinnamon kick this week...not sure why.

This was featured on a blog called browneyedbaker and she found it on a foodie blog called Joy The Baker and now I follow both of those foodie blogs...
recipes on them are amazing.
What was so neat and fun about this bread was the way it was made...sort of rolled out flat like a pizza and smeared with butter and cinnamon and sugar and then cut into six strips.
Then the strips are stacked on top of each other and cut into six sets of squares...
kind of like cinnamon doughy cards...
Then you put the cards, cut side up, into a loaf pan.
Kind of like making a quilt only tastier.
Lucy only stepped in the dough once.
LOL...
Well maybe twice.
I am not a dough maker so I searched the internet to find a sweet dough that I could make in my food processor.  I found one that really worked.  The dough is soft and smooth and rises and you almost never have to touch it.  I just googled " how to make dough in the food processor " and tons of recipes came up.
I have been making a pizza dough in my food processor that is really great so I knew I could find a sweet dough version.  Not really too sweet just that it has an egg and a bit of sugar in the dough...and milk.
The bread sort of just pulls apart and is incredibly moist and cinnamon filled.
Perfect for breakfast.
Perfect for a snack.
Perfection filled with cinnamon sugar.
Doesn't it look like an accordian?
