“A searingly smart and painful exploration of aftermath—the voids left in tragedy's wake, the truths that can never be spoken. To be the one left behind: Perabo never shies away from how much this can hurt. But in her hands, what seems at first like a story of loss ultimately becomes a narrative of renewal and an unforgettable portrait of mothers, daughters, and the tangle of desperation, fear, history, confusion, and love that binds them together.”
—Robin Wasserman, author of Girls on Fire
"A small town hides big secrets in The Dry, an atmospheric, page-turning debut mystery by award-winning author Jane Harper."

I am eyeing The Dry! They all look tempting, though.
ReplyDeleteI think so, too!
DeleteEveryone loves Tana French but I haven't tried her books yet. :/
ReplyDeleteI am not sure that I love this book yet...we shall see!
DeleteI'm familiar with French but haven't read her books. All the rest of the titles are new to me so I'll watch for your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteShe is pretty intense!
DeleteI actually have had The Trespasser for awhile and yet haven't read it, even though I love Tana French! Crazy mood reader, me...
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to get The Dry soon, and yhanks for introducing me to The Marsh King's Daughter --sounds intense.
Glad to see you are reading up a storm!
I love Tana French, too, but I am not sure about this one. I am reading the way I used to...not as fast and not as intense but I can't really go anywhere...so reading helps!
DeleteI have French's first book, In the Woods...I need to read that one before continuing with the series.
ReplyDeleteThe Dry looks tempting. Enjoy!
That was the first one I read and still my favorite!
