A Few More Bits And Bobs!

Reading this...it's a lovely, deep, dark compelling book about a man on death row ( York ) and the ex priest and The Lady...what she is called...who want to save him. The author is one of those authors whose words are so beautiful that even while I am reading about all of the sad things that formed York...I remain sort of mesmerized by the writing. Oh...and making everything difficult is that York does not want to be saved...he wants to die.



I am reading a lot this week but with way too many starts and stops...
Started and stopped this...but it's really good and I will pick it up again later today...


Still have not started this...it's the kind of book I love to save for a plane, car or train trip.
Soon...



And this...I know it's good...I just need to work it in the queue...lol...it's in the queue but I started and stopped it. My bad...I hate when I do this!


Did you know that normally cats sleep a lot? I am discovering that mine do not...sleep very much. Yesterday...Roxie was up all afternoon...racing, running, literally waiting for me to play...she even ran into a wall!
Thank goodness we have a lot of house for her to fly through! The only thing that gets her quiet is if I let her into our big master closet. For some reason seeing all of my clothes calms her...just like it does for me! Lol...

A Dusting Of Snow!

It's beautiful outside...in spite of getting just a little bit more snow. There is one lone goose by the bird feeders...he seems sad but there are ducks and birds keeping him company. But where is his gal pal? Or her boy toy? Oh my!

So...today is just a sort of midweek nothing exciting going on kind of day...doing laundry, playing with Roxie, reading...doing a few house chores...

Balmy No More!

Den never really asks for anything special to eat...well...other than every Sunday when he asks for pancakes or waffles...which are always from scratch and extremely annoying to make...he is always content to be surprised...but today...as he bundled himself up to go outside...he asked for something really warm for dinner...so...I am surprising him with this! It's an Enchilada Pasta from a blog called...no. 2 pencil. I am betting that he will love this! And...everything cooks in the pan other than popping it into the oven to brown and melt the cheese!







Reading this...a role playing game playing murder mystery with tons of quirky characters that takes place in San Francisco.



Happy Tuesday! I am off to gather provisions...and try to stay warm...we are supposed to try not to use too much electricity in the morning and evening...tons of schools are closed...and it is most def not balmy any more!
