Whoops! We Saw Them Again!

Slipped out to AC yesterday to see Hall And Oates...so good!
We had dinner at Izakaya...yum...spicy tuna cracker and other delights. See that window on the right? That's our room...lol...



We played nickel slots and I won lots of money! Almost $50.00!!! That's a lot, isn't it? I am the gambler who quits as soon as I win! We spent the night...had a Starbucks coffee there and an Egg McMuffin on the drive home...I am reshowered...my sister's Mexican chicken is simmering in the slow cooker and I am on the sofa with my books!

Waiting for Den to finish mowing so that we can really chillax.

Love this kind of going away...as soon as Lucy Grace and Roxie Blue talk to us again...life will be good!

We left them alone...we were away less than 24 hours...they had tons of toys, food, and water...we have those in house cameras so Den checked on them every hour...and they are both still giving us the silent treatment!

My house smells like a cantina! Making that cheesy dip for Den as soon as he comes in...I even bought Velveeta Cheese...if that's a cheese! I hope it does not kill us! Sigh!

A Progress Report!

I am happy to tell you that I finished two of my four overdue books...and while I was busy reading...NetGalley sent me some that I forgot I requested...and they all look so good...really good!

I can't wait to start them! Too funny! I am laughing at myself! I can't resist books...can you?

Yesterday the looks these two gave me were so funny...I was so busy reading that I forgot to sit out on the deck with them...my bad!

Tonkinese cats have amazing memories and a love of routine...deck time is deck time...at the same time every day...and the people they live with had better not forget it...sorry, girls!

Reading As Fast As I Can...LOL...

I am that annoying person who likes to get things done...before they are due!

I was the teacher who had report cards done early and would annoy my team by telling them.
I prep for dinner as though I was on Top Chef.
I set the table (with seasonal napkins) before lunch.
I start laundry as soon as I wake up.
I wrap presents as soon as I buy them and set them out so Den can see my efficiency.
I list everything I want to do each day and then I actually do all of them and more in a minimal amount of time.
I am worked out, showered, and free by noon every day.
I like an ordered hotel room and I never take my neatly folded clothes out of my suitcase.
I am so annoying. I really truly am. I am a freak of nature!

There is a point to this...I have 4 overdue book reviews! I mean they are listed in red letters on my Amazon Vine account!

Overdue! Overdue! Overdue! It's as though I just got 4 INC's or even worse 4 F's!

It's making me crazy and it will take me days to get them all read! Oh me, oh my!

And they are lovely yummy books that I can't wait to read!

I had to stop Mother, Mother which I love...and start these which I also love.

Favorite new chicken recipe...so delicious! This one is from Barefeet In The Kitchen...it's Southwest in nature and so good you just might crave it...there is no breading...the coating is seasonings like chili spices and cumin and garlic powder and more. It was cooked in s any tablespoon of coconut oil and was yummy!




Favorite new salad...figs and tortellini...oh my! This one comes from The Kitchn!




Favorite new sweatery thing...from Swell! I will wear pants, though! Lol...




Favorite new booties...I have been stepping out in these and I love them! My Minnetonka Fringe Booties!



Favorite new pumpkin...from Melissa's...it's called a Porcelain Doll Pumpkin!



Favorite book...the one I am mostly reading now!

Finally over Cartwheel and into this...

Plus...I have taken a big step for me and cancelled every preorder! They always come on Tuesdays...I never remember why I ordered them...and I am still not reading anything I buy for me!

Now to Satan's curse...

I have a friend in Missouri who is very leery of computers...she calls them the curse of satan. We used to teach together and she is just the loveliest person ever. Her husband is amazing, too. They actually created a park in their town. It's beautiful and they love it. My friend will send me handwritten notes at Christmas and when she needs book ideas...she has her husband email me. Last week all of their email friends got requests for money because our emails said they were stranded in New Zealand.

Needless to say...she feels that her belief in being computer free is one she should have stuck to...

She is firm in her belief that computers are the "Curse Of Satan"...
