End Of The Week Thoughts...

My sleeping habits are nearly back to normal...I might wake up in the middle of the night but I generally fall back to sleep quickly. If I reach for my Kindle...I fall asleep really quickly...barely reading a page or two. Often I sleep until 7:30 or 8:00...I love when that happens! I rarely wake up without a cat tucked somewhere...they are masters at tucking themselves next to me.

Almost finished with this...it feels as though I really didn't read much this week but I read 3 books!

These are the ones I am looking at next...

But who knows?

Den is distracting me with TV...we just watched Broadchurch and we need to watch Game Of Thrones plus Den declared that we needed an afternoon ice cream break so he zipped out to Foxy Loxy for ice cream. I had butter pecan...he had decadent chocolate...I want his next time! Eating ice cream in the middle of a 90 degree day was awesome! We both worked out and had salad for lunch. So we justified the ice cream!

From here!

Have a great week end!

Hugs,

Patty

Just A Tiny Bit Achy...

Poor Den...he really did carry tons of heavy book boxes yesterday. As he was telling me last night...as he was taking an Aleve or two...not only did he have to carry them up a flight of stairs but he had to lift them into the car and then out of the car again. Three times! But we have a lovely empty big space in the basement. We need a spot for the next round of organizing.

Love love love this book...

Want want want this sandwich...it's a loaded Caprese Grilled Cheese from Pinch Of Yum. It even has pesto on it...and some saucy tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on sourdough! Oh my!

Have you seen these shoes? I think they are made out of recycled water bottles but they are supposed to fit so smoothly that blisters are an impossible outcome. I am always looking for that one comfy pair of flats that can be tossed on with anything. Is this it? Rothy's @ $125.00 a pair. They have pointy toed ones, too. And tons of colors and patterns.

Off to read my book and sit with my kitties! Den is off shopping so the girls and I are reading in our room while he is gone...Roxie is in my spot sleeping...Lucy is wandering and I am watching Real Housewives Of New York while I read but the screaming is so loud it's distracting me.

Hugs,

Patty

A Home For My Books!

Just as Den and I were getting ready to trash all of my teacher stuff...magazines, books, etc...I mean we were calling the trash boys today...our neighbor Jane gave us a solution! We are still organizing the basement but we were were at a standstill because there were boxes of neatly packed books in our path. We couldn't start on another section of the basement because we had nowhere to move anything. The part of the basement that is done is beautiful to our eyes and only makes us want to do more...sort of. But not every day...it's more of a "want to work on the basement today or watch Harry Bosch" kind of thing.

Anyway...back to the solution...I get so easily distracted.

There is a used bookstore in town that will take them all. I think they even have a teacher book sale and anything they can't use they will give away or recycle. Plus all profits go to the senior center. This stuff is the kind of stuff that I should have given away when I stopped teaching but regretfully I was too attached to it...now I just want it gone. Teachers buy so much stuff on their own and I could not resist books...ever!

Den has been on this street 3 times today!

Jane is the person that knows what to do with everything!

Thank you, Jane!

Boxes prior to three trips into town!

Still reading my Yummy Maine book...

My sister and I are in an odd discussion about the books below. We both read fantasies...and we can not remember if we read this book! She swears she read it with this cover. If she read it...it probably came from me. However...I don't have a Goodreads record of reading it with either cover. This is "critical" because I just got the second one and I don't want to read it without reading the first one! So the result of all this is that I just bought the first one from Amazon. I don't remember it but I sort of remember it? How can that be?

So I most likely won't remember if I read it or not until I start it and it finally hits me that I read this book!
I hate when that happens!

This is the next one in this series and the one I can't read until I finish figuring out if I read the first one.

Why does it sound so familiar?

Waiting for Den to return from his final book run!

Hugs,

Patty

Books...

Just one more time before I put this book to rest...I loved this book. It should be a classic! It's sweet and funny and special and filled with baked goods. The Beiderman is so scary and yet so lovable! The Beiderman is the landlord who wants to evict the Vanderbeekers just after Christmas. This is such a special book! It will make you laugh and make you cry!

Ho Hum...

Not a fan of this one...at all. I was right not to like these friends or their conversations.

Loving this but it takes place in Maine and I love Maine. Wild beaches and lobster stew and Red's Lobster Rolls! And fiddlehead ferns and blueberry cobbler and Street And Company...my fave restaurant ever! None of this is actually in the book but I got really excited about Maine!

Red's doesn't look like much but it's the best lobster roll ever. I think we waited in line for hours the last time we were there.
This one is in Portland, Maine...and it's so wonderful!

So...I walked nonstop on my treadmill today for 23 minutes! Remember when 5 minutes did me in? I can feel all of those virtual hugs!

Thank you!

Hugs back!

Patty

Book Juggling?

That's what I am doing...book juggling. I thought I loved reading more than one book at a time but now it feels as though I am reading way too many books at a time!

Seriously!

I am sort of reading these.

This one is not off to a great start. So far I am not a fan of these friends or their conversations.

I am reading this, too. So good...but I love these easy cozy foody books. This is the last one in this series...so far.

I want to start this one. Sounds good...doesn't it?

Plus I think I started another book and then put it down and I hate when I do that!

This one...and I love it!

Every other reader has neat stacks and dates and an organized plan! I read way too randomly. The shiny new books are the ones I want to grab first. How bad is that...sigh!

Ok...off to pump up my 20 minutes on the treadmill to at least 21...I don't have a way to figure out when I should be less tired and my life is still not really all that normal. Little by little I am trying to do the things I used to do but the big road block for me is always hair. I want my hair back and there is no way for me to get around it. Sigh!

Chalk this day up to being a bad without hair day.

Hugs,

Patty
