A Hazy Lazy Friday...

Today is one of my "fatigue" days so I am just not moving much. One of my favorite nurses at oncology said it's as though your body operates at 50%...all this time I thought I was operating at 75%. That news made me even more fatigued. I succumb easily to the power of suggestion.

Still reading the gymnastic/mystery book. I don't think I ever want to see a gymnast's foot up close...yikes! This feeling is based on descriptions in this yummy book!

As soon as I finish that one...it's this one...I think! I love the cover!

On "fatigue" days I am not hungry at all. But today Den made pancakes...whole grain...to make me eat...they were amazing.

He uses this mix and it's really good!

Now my hope is to talk him out of trying to make me eat for the rest of the day...other than small bites!

That's all the writing I have in me today...off to rest and read...but mostly rest...

Be back on Monday!

Hugs,

Patty

An Assortment Of Stuff!

Reading this...really good plus I am learning lots about gymnastics!

Thinking about this...from Free People! I will always love long tunic ish tops!

Unusual foods...found on The Kitchen...

Beef jerky roses?

Corn?

Den and I want to make this...both of our moms made stuffed cabbage. I always took the cabbage off and ate the insides with catsup! This one is from The Kitchen.

Me!!

I am anemic! I am trying to eat iron rich foods...sautéed spinach, kale, and chard. Almonds, beans and dried apricots will help, too. But I have to eat iron rich foods daily. Sigh! It's part of the reason why I am so fatigued!

Hair!!!

Mine is growing back but I have been told that it will not last. My head is a fuzz of curls! I even brushed it the other day.

Eyelashes!!!

Mine fell out but now they are growing in weirdly long and unruly! I bought false eyelashes but so far not a skill I can easily master. Double sigh!

Off to read and rest!

Hugs,

Patty

A Wednesday Without Words? Highly Unlikely!

Loved this book. It was emotional, frustrating, addictive and wondrous!

Next...this one...yeah...I know...I tossed my fantasies aside for now.

Look at this! I don't quite get how the cheese stays in!

Need to make this...from the kitchen...pasta and kale...

My protectors...or is it the new soft flannel duvet cover?

So...just a few words...I was true to my word!

Hugs,

Patty

Kind Of Not Fair...

Life...

I am at home reading and staying away from germs and Den is out to lunch with his boys. And to make it worse they are at an amazing Mexican food restaurant...chomping on chips, Pico de Gallo and lots of other Mexican delights. Sigh! I guess he needs a break from me every once in a while...plus yesterday we finally took down Christmas! We both promptly fell asleep by 9:00. I can easily get fatigued...just a heavy curtain of exhaustion from everything I am taking...when that happens I can't even talk...I just have to stop somewhere and put my head down...sigh!

Books...

I love love love this book! I have only read one other book of hers so I have sort of forgotten her writing style. This book is lovely...funny in parts but sad in parts, too. I don't want to say anything specific about it...just that I don't want to put it down. I am captured by the story but I think it might make eventually make me cry.

I am off to prepare a list of questions that I shall be asking/grilling Den about his luncheon. I just can't help myself!

Hugs...

Patty

I Love Bouncing Back To My Blog On Monday...

So...I did not read anything I planned to read over the weekend! But...that is what I expect from myself...sigh! But I have a really good reason. A library ebook popped into Overdrive and totally distracted me! I love this author and I loved this book. British mystery writers are my downfall...and Peter Robinson's writing is addictive. I think this might be his 24th Inspector Banks book. They are seriously good.

What I am reading now...all descriptions from Amazon...

"In this profound and lyrical novel, acclaimed author Amanda Eyre Ward explores the deeper meanings of motherhood—from the first blissful hello to the heart-wrenching prospect of saying goodbye."

New books...all descriptions from Amazon...

"From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the smash bestseller Orphan Train, a stunning and atmospheric novel of friendship, passion, and art, inspired by Andrew Wyeth’s mysterious and iconic painting Christina’s World."

Lizzie Borden took an axe

And gave her mother forty whacks.

When she saw what she had done,

She gave her father forty-one.

Or did she?

"In this riveting debut novel, See What I Have Done, Sarah Schmidt recasts one of the most spellbinding murder cases of all time into a sensitive and humane portrait of two sisters caught inside a volatile household—and what it means to be free and truly loved."

"Internationally bestselling author Christopher Brookmyre, winner of the McIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Novel of the Year and finalist for the CWA Goldsboro Gold Dagger for his most recent novel, Black Widow, is renowned for his black humor, remarkably well-drawn characters, and killer twists. His new Jack Parlabane thriller, The Hack, is his most unstoppable novel yet."

"From the award-winning author and New Yorker contributor, a riveting novel about secrets and scandals, psychiatry and pulp fiction, inspired by the lives of H.P. Lovecraft and his circle."

The book I want to get my bookish little hands on...

"From the New York Times bestselling author of Flight Patterns comes a stunning new novel about a young single mother who discovers that the nature of friendship is never what it seems..."

I have to go and join Den in taking down the rest of Christmas...we were delayed due to his awful cold. It's still not completely gone but it's better...finally. And then last Monday this little angel sounded horrible. Her meow was hoarse...heeheehee...she was coughing...we were freaking out! Everyone forgot about her seasonal asthma when it gets cold and damp. So...after a day at the vet, the wrong meds, a shot, X-rays, and a million dollars later...she is back on her puffer and no longer hoarse. You haven't lived until you have tried to give a Tonk liquid antibiotics and an inhaler!

Wishing you an awesome day!

Hugs,

Patty
