OMG!

I was just sort of meandering through Pinterest and found a recipe for a casserole called Tomato Pie...one of the ingredients was 2 1/2 cups of mayonnaise! That's my OMG moment for today. I mean it had other stuff in it but how do you get around 2 1/2 cups of mayo? Yikes!

Books...a few new books from Edelweiss...mostly fantasies because that's what I am in the mood for...lately...and these covers...are so beautiful...

This one is a part of a fairytale series...
This one is about running out of time and earning it back in a really strange world.
Yesterday Mary wrote about a book she read based on Persuasion...Jane Austen's Persuasion. This one is based on Persuasion, too. I didn't realize that there could be lots of books out there based on Persuasion.
This one just looked like summer fun.

We actually had a tornado warning here last night! Scary!

I think I am making this for dinner...the recipe is from my recent Food & Wine Newsletter...it's called Fried Zucchini Spaghetti. Den is all in!

Hugs,

Patty

  1. I love tomato pie and am pretty sure most recipes don't call for that much mayo - it usually has just enough mayo in it to act as a binder.

  3. Ooh, I'm off to look up By the Book! Do you think the mayo amount is a typo?? That's a lot of mayo.

  4. I LOVE zucchini in almost anything, but this one with pasta has me wishing you lived on the Left Coast...LOL.

Your books look good, too, and the ones I really want aren't coming out until next year!

Enjoy your day...and that recipe with all that mayonnaise sounds...yuk!

  5. That measurement of mayo sounds like a lot but if it makes a huge casserole dish of it, then it's not so much. There is an artichoke dip I make that asks for that much mayo and a full cup of Parmesan cheese. It's rich and delicious but you can only eat so much dip.
