This Weekend...

I said to myself yesterday that I needed and wanted and craved fantasy...and then I grabbed my flashy new Kindle...touched a book cover and got absorbed in this book. It's not even close to a fantasy but rather it is a gritty English crime drama which I can't put down. And if Mary Kubica loves it...you just sort of know it's yummy!

Plus I just checked and I did read this author's first book which was also unputdownable...I hope that's a word!

So...this weekend is going to be about books and plants and mulch and rest! Talking with family...binge watching TV...cooking something Italian...getting stronger...and taking in all that I have to be thankful for.

Many hugs...

Until Monday...

Patty

  1. I am just waiting for my work day to end. It has been a super long day. I went to lunch with ex coworkers, one of which is an Econ professor and they spent the entire time talking Economics which just about did me in. I had salmon though which was good but now my lip is all tingly. It could have been anything these day. The lemon in my tea, the fish, the chives on my potato. Goodness.

  4. I met B. A. Paris this week and she mentioned that she'd love to meet Mary Kubica so I think I need to read something she wrote - or maybe just something she recommends.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Have a great weekend, Patty! It will be pretty low-key here, too. I'm hoping to finish The Hate U Give, and start something new... maybe a classic.

  8. So glad to hear you will start a new regimen soon! Light at the end of the tunnel!

You reminded me that I've had What She Knew on my Kindle a long time and never read it! I accidentally skip over titles I really mean to read asap... silly me. Good to know all the books by Ms. Macmillan are worth a read-- I will!
