Books!

Just finished this...did not love it...perhaps these need to be read in the summer only. Plus this one wasn't very Nantucket Beachy. More dysfunctional and irritating...

Reading this now...fun and entertaining...New Yorkers trying to find an apartment in the city that is big and affordable because one half of them is fighting a move to the suburbs.

I am so tired today...I can't think of anything except that I am tired!

I read everyone's blogs today but I didn't have the energy to comment! I am so sorry. But you are all clever and brilliant and charming and funny and I think once I am done with this three times a day antibiotic...I will feel better! I am holding on until then! My poor sweet Den...he is the one who has to inject it three times a day...he doesn't complain...he learned how and he will get us through this!

Hugs,

Patty

  1. Sorry you are so tired! It's gratifying enough that you are reading our blogs, and don't worry about the rest.
Books need to fit the mood, and Hilderbrand is a summer, beachy writer and you're probably not feeling that now. Prayers sent up for your quick recovery from this latest setback!

  2. Laurel-Rain Snow has left a new comment on your post "Books!":

I haven't read Here's to Us...it's just lying in wait on Pippa. Maybe I'll wait until next summer.
Laurel Rain I accidentally deleted you so had to publish this way!
    City Mouse sounds like fun.

I hope you feel better soon! Kudos to Den, and to you, too, for hanging in there!

  7. I borrowed the audio of Here's to Us from the library last summer and returned it after a few hours - didn't like it at all. Usually I enjoy her books. Since it hadn't been sent for review I figured why spend time with a book I don't like. Haven't heard of City Mouse before but I'd give it a try - sounds like an HGTV show :)
Sending you and Den good thoughts!

  8. Here's to Us sure looks like a summer book. After just recently going through the apartment hunting thing with my daughters, not sure I'm up for a fictional account... but might be persuaded if it's humorous!

Sorry you're so tired. Hope the antibiotics are doing their thing and you'll be better soon.
