That Extra Minute...

Yesterday's treadmill...was a nice pace...and 13 minutes...but that extra minute is hard won...my goal is to try to maintain or add an extra minute a day...plus stretching and some weights...

This is the book I really wanted and I got it yesterday!

I finished this...it kind of got muddled for me in its middle but it had a totally fascinating ending.

And on Overdrive...

Even though in bold statements I am being told that I am the next person to get the book...I am still waiting! There should be a way to nudge people! Or at least a read it or return it message! I would be happy to send it!

We had a busy morning...I need to rest...I might just cuddle up in bed with Netflix...I am truly loving The Bletchley Circle! Today was supposed to be a Chemotherapy Day but I was sent home because my white blood count was low. They said this is normal...I am supposed to make sure that I stay away from lots of people and make sure everything I eat is thoroughly washed. This will put Den over the top. He already has bottles of Purell all over our house and we are the only two people here!

Hugs,

Patty

  1. Sorry you couldn't get the chemo as planned. Do you have to wait long until next time?
I wonder if you could call your library and ask about the book. Maybe something goofy happened. I always return as soon as I finish listening or reading.

  5. Every day, you are making progress, and I'm loving how you're reading and blogging again. I'm sure you and Den are doing everything right...and sometimes our bodies just do their own thing. Hang in there!

  6. You have a wonderful family (Den and the kitties) taking care of you. Hope your blood count gets back on track... and that you get the book you really want to read sooner than later!

  7. Doesn't chemo bring your blood count down too? I guess maybe you haven't fully bounced back from your last treatment. Maybe? I really don't know. I am just guessing.

An extra minute is a huge deal. I think it's great that you are getting back to you. I told you the time would come.

I have been next for weeks for one of my Overdrive books so I actually went to my Overdrive account and there it was. I never got the email. Check your hold requests and account shelf to see if it's there.

  8. I'm sorry you went there for nothing, but a little break won't hurt. Do as you like. For the first time today I tried out Overdrive's Listen feature. I love it! I figure I would listen to the audiobook on the laptop anyways via CD's and through this way, I wouldn't have to worry about skipping.
Have you had a chance to look at the yarn?
