It's All About The Books!

For some reason...even though I love this author...I was reluctant to dive into this book. But I read it through most of the Billboard Music Awards...they were as awful as I expected...but they provided a great reading background. I am really loving this book! Did you know that a "cavalier" is a representative that a man sends to his potential fiance to present her with the ring and ask her to marry him? This book is all about the "cavalier"...not being so cavalier!

So...what else is Monday for other than sharing new books? I love doing this and then going to Book Date's post to read and comment on a few new blogs. It's my perfect way to spend a lazy Monday morning.

Amazon Vine was loaded with so many incredible choices this morning!

Here are just a few...

Seashell Season...Holly Chamberlain...a mother/daughter beachy book that I could not resist!

Nine Women, One Dress...by Jane L. Rosen...you can almost guess what this is about...nine unrelated women and one "magical" little black dress!

The Killing Game...by Nancy Bush...an intense mystery!

The Square Root Of Summer...by Harriet Reuter Hapgood...I have been trying to get this so when it showed up I was ecstatic!

From Amazon...

"An epic romance with twists that will leave you breathless." ―Kami Garcia, #1 New York Times bestselling co-author of Beautiful Creatures and author of The Lovely Reckless

All The Time In The World...by Caroline Angell...a musician turned nanny amidst a family crisis...yum!

So...those are my newest books...I am off to tidy the house and then read a bit...oh...laundry, too, I think...it's very chilly here today...again...and we aren't sleeping...for some odd reason there seems to be three separate goose families in our yard! We usually have only one...we can't figure this out...and they all seem to be "yelling" at each other! Plus they didn't all appear at the same time...why can't we all just get along?

Have a happy day!

Hugs,

Patty

  1. I read a very early copy of A Certain Age and loved it. I hope to reread it soon. I hate when the geese make noise in the middle of the night!!

  2. Well, that's an interesting reason to be having trouble sleeping! I've had noisy neighbours before, but they've always been people, never geese! :D

  3. Oh you so make me want to read A Certain Age although I have a bit of catching up on her books yet. The perils of seeing what others are reading.

  4. Ooh, lovely books! The Killing Game caught my eye, and I'm curious about The Square Root of Summer.

I love the cover of A Certain Age.

Guess I'll have to check Vine again...but I already have one of their books to read, and I don't like to load up....especially since I have several NetGalley books releasing in June and July.

    Ah, the temptation!

  7. I haven't read that one, but I'm sure it was more interesting than the music awards! I watched the Celine Dion part but the rest of it was just not interesting to me. I'm for sure old now!

    1. We said the same thing! We didn't even know who half of the people were! And it was so boring!

  9. Will check out your books. I have a lovely little stack of books that are begging to be read. I can't believe it. Beatriz Williams really knows how pick an idea for her book covers. That one is gorgeous.
