An Adventure!

Finished and thoroughly loved this book! Historical fiction? Not sure...but it took place during the "roaring twenties". Three young adventurers with some major issues...written beautifully...I loved sweet sad Henry!

Now for the adventure!
We drove to Frederick, Maryland yesterday...a sweet town...filled with history. It was our anniversary and we wanted to eat at Volt. The kitties had their sitter...we were spending the night and dinner was amaze balls! We did the same thing last year...it's about a two hour sort of easy drive and there are lots of things to do when you are there...museums, wineries, shops, parks, etc.
Volt...
Chef Bryan Voltaggio and Chef Graeme Ritchie...
We scored the coveted window seat...Frederick is filled with shops and brownstones...

Decisions!
Dinner is amazing and in lovely smaller portions...sort of...the photographs are totally out of order and I forgot to take pix of everything...my Arctic Char...Den's lobster...my beets...Den's Parsnip Soup which sounds awful but was off the wall yummy!
Venison...
Chicken...
Wine...
Cheese...
This was a soft egg stuffed RAVIOLO...not RAVIOLI...but I ate it!
Then the next day we picked up our Anniversary Cake...and drove home where the girls have been ignoring us for hours! Madagascar Vanilla! So delicious!
Before our drive home we stopped at this chef's casual restaurant for lunch...OMG...soooooo delicious! We bought neat mugs!
Duck fat fries...yikes...
We splurged our calories on this...
The Patty & Den Anniversary Adventure has come to an end. We are home, tired, the girls are mad at us and there is no dinner...just cake!
Fondly,
Patty
