Knees And Bread!

It's sad...Den and I have some issues...probably from the misspent days of our youth...hiking, biking, pogo sticking, rope jumping? I have knee stuff going on...and Den has tendinitis in both shoulders...today was our morning at The Rothman Institute for X-rays and shots of stuff...Den gets cortisone and I get cortisone and something else that fills in the cartilage in my knee...I get a series of these shots and then my knee should feel so much better...sigh! The Rothman Institute works with our sports teams and keeps everyone moving. But...I have never seen so many limping people in one spot in my life...including me!

Bread!
On the way home we pass right by the house of "the ladies who bake bread". I cannot begin to describe to you how amazing their baking area is. I have talked about them before but...they hang the flag...you walk in to this amazing room that smells beyond amazing...rich, warm, yeasty...and today was Brownie Day! Here is what I carried away.
And for a dollar each they sell these...
brownies...and...

little warm rolls with a pat of butter inside!
Off to ice my knee and read...this book is so appropriate for today!
Have an amazing weekend! We are home this weekend and enjoying every moment!

    2. Thanks, we've all been friends since 5th grade. They finally convinced me to go. It will be nice not to have to travel too far this time. Florida Georgia Line is at Bethel Woods tonight and I hear it's packed.

  4. Ugh sorry y'all have knee and shoulder pain. I have trouble with my right knee but the orthopedist told me I've pulled something and not to worry about it. I have the worst luck with doctors. Take it easy this weekend!

  6. For me, the issues are in my back...back surgery in 1993....and I've had physical therapy on and off, due to another car accident that left my neck with chronic pain. If I remember to stretch at the beginning of the day...and periodically...things go better.

It could be worse...my youth was misspent, too...LOL.

Those baked goods are so tempting!

  7. Take care of your joints. I have RA among other issues. I have extensive bone/joint problems. Both hips and both knees have been replaced once already. I am having issues again, too. It isn't age, but that doesn't help. Take care of yourself and each other.

Hope the shots and PT have both of your joints feeling better today.

  9. Oh, you too?! My knee has been acting up and my husband's shoulder is giving him a heck of a time. We're trying to avoid shots, but he may be ready to give in. :-O
