Books!

Lots of YA popped into my life last week...I was so into Baker's Blues that I barely noticed! Then we started watching Alone from the History Channel? OMG! It's like Survivor only worse! But we binge watched 9 episodes! These contestants were allowed to take ten things onto Vancouver Island with them...the man who lasts the longest wins $500,000! But there is so much to deal with...weather, bears, cougars, no food!

Back to books...new YA...

These two are not YA...
I think I am being tested...I can't settle on a new book...the last two books that I read were so good I can't decide what to read next...so I am still deciding! I hate when that happens!
We have been inside because it's been raining all day...so this day has been low key for sure!
We are having this for dinner. The Yukon Gold potatoes cook underneath the turkey meatloaf...I hope!
From Sheet Pan Suppers...
I am off to finally choose a book!

  1. Carl would love that meatloaf - let us know how it turns out, please.

    We're still hot and muggy.

  2. I'm addicted to Alone....can't imagine the isolation, weather, lack of food...not to mention the threat of being eaten. These last 4 are tough. Who do you think will make it until the end?

    1. What a show! I think Alan! The dude from Georgia? He seems so capable!

    2. That's who I think also. He's tough and funny.

  3. That show sounds like fun to my husband and I!
Also that cookbook would be a winner for me :) I just made turkey meatloaf with mashed potatoes and salad last week. That photo is yum!

  4. That meatloaf looks very yummy....and as for books, I am now curious about Dumplin'. I don't often like YA books, although there have been a few that engaged me.

I'm not a fan of reality shows, although I did get hooked on a stupid one with Tori Spelling. I liked seeing her houses and her kids...LOL.

But the last one was so annoying that I was glad they stopped....

    1. I kind of binge watched that one, too...were you surprised that she was a hoarder?
