3D Headache?

3D is not good for me...not only does it freak me out but also I can't control myself! I am the screamer! Well...not really a scream but that sharp intake when you see something that is totally frightening! We saw Jurassic World this afternoon and it was scary good! But I think 3D makes me feel slightly carsick! I had to take my glasses off and look away at times. Plus Den kept trying to shoosh me! How dare he! I think I love Velociraptors!

Reading this...it's got a funny cover but it's so good...the main character is just like Nancy Drew! Mary...is her name...it's old fashioned but really good!

Off to cook linguini! Yum!
Have a lovely Friday evening!

  1. I can't watch a 3-D movie or one filmed with handheld cameras - they both make me feel sick.

  2. I love cozy mysteries like that! Nothing wrong with old-fashioned. My oldest son was in a car accident about 7 years ago, and the airbag hit his eye. Long story short--he's fine, but his eye is not. He cannot see 3D. I guess you need 2 good eyes to do that. :~) He is not a fan of everyone else being a fan of 3D. Sorry that it gives you a headachey sick to your stomach feeling. (getting my eyes dilated does that to me)

    1. This book was really good... I don't think I want to see another 3D movie anytime soon...I am glad your son is ok!

  3. I've seen 3D before because hubby thinks it is more exciting to see those (not that we go to the theater more than a few times a year). I get all kinds of motion sick feeling in any moving vehicle type--especially boats and 3D movies-- so I don't favor them and also take the glasses off sometimes.

I do want to see Jurassic World! Jurassic Park-- the first one only-- was a great film, of course Sir Richard Attenborough helped make it that way and he has passed, but I still want to see it. I wonder if Laura Dern is in it or any of the other originals? Must have been campy fun! And by the way, I've been coincidentally for a more grown-up version of Nancy Drew lately as I take a big step away from some of my dark thrillers, and now you mention this title--serendipity :)

    1. Rita...there were no appearances by any one in the first movie in this one...but it was really good...we had no choice about 3D...that's all they showed! There is one surprise from the original movie...but I won't tell you!

  4. I love the Jurassic Park series and cannot wait to see this. It is the kid in me. Dinosaurs are cool.
I cannot see in 3D, which is both weird and sad. But, it is just "me". My eyes do not see 3D.

  5. I rarely see 3D movies...but not because they give me a headache---because I hate paying the extra fee! What a ripoff! When we were younger there was no extra charge. Ever since Avatar became popular, they decided 3D was a great way to make an extra buck. Crooks, I say!!
I'm supposed to go see Jurassic World with a friend and her kids today--and she's a talker AND a screamer...We'll see how THIS turns out! Lol...Glad to hear it's good. :-)

  6. I can't do 3D plus I don't like paying extra for it. Your glasses looked like that? Oh, and since I wear glasses putting glasses over my glasses is what makes me sick.
