Too Much Trauma...

I just read two really good but two really depressing books in a row. My head is spinning. This one was just a difficult book to read and spanned about 300 years as well as the future...so depressing. I thought it was a beach book. Sigh!
Schizophrenia is the issue here and drugs and meds...a little girl living with an emotionally disturbed mother...this one is really enlightening and really depressing...sigh!
I need fantasy, failed romance or failed relationships! Even feverish love would help! Maybe a simple serial killer on the loose?
Up next!
Happy Saturday!
Den just zipped to Country Butcher for Porchetta Sandwiches and a frozen lemonade for lunch...small steaks for dinner with tons of roasted veg!

  1. I understand how too many depressing books in a row is... depressing! Then I feel I need a light book, romance or fantasy, to "cleanse the palate". I didn't make up that saying-- another blogger mentioned it recently and I liked it, so oops hope I'm not stepping on someone's feelings. Or maybe you said it, Patty? Lol. Have a good week and enjoy your weekend.

  2. Oh, my, I just started a comment and the "service is unavailable" message came up. Hope I get through this one.

I'll be reading The Shore next week. Today I've been bingeing on Netflix, with a new series, Grace & Frankie, with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin...and a lot of other familiar actors. Martin Sheen, Sam Waterston, Mary Kay Place, and Christine Lahti, to name a few. I watched 7 episodes.

  4. So The Shore is not a beach book. Good to know.

Luckiest Girl Alive was optioned by Reese Witherspoon so it might be a movie soon.
