Monday's Stuff!

Painters are coming to repaint the dormers on our house...the first time they painted in the rain...they painted fast and it all peeled away...so it's a do over!

Yesterday we drove for an hour and a half to a place called Emmaus to a Farmer's Market...it was so crowded we turned around and drove home. The downside of this was Den's headrest exploded! We thought someone threw a brick at our car. The upside was we found a new restaurant for lunch and had an amazing Margarita. The downside was we both had headaches after lunch...we had not eaten all day until the Margarita...can lack of food, an exploding headrest and a Premium Margarita give us both a headache? I bet the answer is a resounding "yes"...

Over the weekend I read these two books...loved this one...three dysfunctional girls/women and snappy dialogue.

Loved this one, too...a provocative mystery about two girls with the same "presumed" dead boyfriend! Yum! We Were Liars was mentioned as a similar book but I didn't see that...
New books! Love new books!
This is the sequel to The Jewel...which I read...
Four sisters who need magic to deal with their mother's illness...
From Amazon..."In the spellbinding and suspenseful Let Me Die in His Footsteps, Edgar Award–winner Lori Roy wrests from a Southern town the secrets of two families touched by an evil that has passed between generations." I think lavender is involved! Lol...
Love this kind of book!

From Amazon..."'A sensitive and sometimes-moving look at a man drowning in the sorrows of his past, with a prickly relationship with his father and with a child who desperately needs to trust someone...A sweetly told tale of fatherhood and loss."and from Kirkus Reviews...
Cakes, pastries, dysfunction...my thing! If Beatriz Williams likes it...I think I will, too!
Seriously craving this with dinner...
Leaving Den with the painters...who are freaking out at how high are roof is...for a manicure/pedicure...sigh!
Peace out! Have a good one!

  3. How to Start a Fire went right on my wishlist now! A couple of your other ones look oh so good; I love your taste in reading, eclectic and fun.
Oh my, exploding headrests and margaritas-- sorry you drove all that way to fight the crowds. My hubby is not one for crowds and would've told me to go ahead while he sat in a coffee shop nearby or even the car :)

  4. A sympathetic headache, perhaps? Wow, what an event...an exploding headrest.

You have a lot of books....and I enjoyed How to Start a Fire, the only one I've read.
