Stress...Fun...Stress!

Our Keith Urban Adventure was stressful because...not only did it start on Sunday and not end until Monday...but the minute Den got in the door on Monday...he literally had to turn around...pack...and get on a plane! He is on his way home now. So...although we had an awesome time...in the back of our minds we were always thinking about getting back home in time to get to the airport. We said we wouldn't wake up early on Monday and that he was ready and we had tons of time to drive the three plus hours home...but...he was up and showered at 5:30...he nudged a Starbucks in my hand before my eyes were opened and instead of a leisurely fun breakfast...we had a quick Egg McMuffin on the road. Once we got in our door there was more running around and pressure than you can even imagine. I know this was why I was so exhausted! Whew!

So as usual...while the girls and I have been happy eating peanut butter and nectarines and scrambled eggs and soup...I have NOTHING for dinner and nothing for
Den's lunch tomorrow...and no ambition either to get anything...but I will...later...I hope...

Our lives have been so full of travel and moving and never stopping...there were times when I would teach all week...we would hop on a plane for a week end of business entertaining...and back to teach on Monday morning...this week end reminded me of that...and further reminded me that...

I love staying at home! I love it! Does this explain why I love staying at home and being totally irresponsible? Lol...I hate stress and pressure and exhaustion! Our Keith Urban Adventure reminded me of how my life used to be...and it was not a happy memory...it was stress filled!

Reading this lovely book...it's all relationships and Charleston houses...very relaxing!

Happy Thursday!

I Am Refreshed, Renewed, Revitalized...Finally!

This is the first day since our Keith Urban Adventure that I am finally not tired! It feels so good to NOT be tired!

And what am I doing with all of this energy? Cleaning the downstairs...vacuuming, Murphy's Oil Soaping...tidying!

Some awesome new books from lovely publishers and NetGalley...I love the covers of all of these!

New toys for the girls...they love this glove!

It's a peek a boo cube! Roxie has taken it over!

Almost finished with this one...it's so beautifully dysfunctionally delicious...and quite sad...

That's my Wednesday!

What Won't Happen Today! But...What Will Happen Today...Hopefully!

Today...

I won't get on the treadmill, start the car, go to Whole Foods, cook anything, actually make the bed, do any yard work or leave the house other than to bring in the trash and get the mail...the girls have a package coming today! Look at those excited faces!

But...hopefully...I will...

clean upstairs, unpack my bag from Sunday, do some laundry, wonder why I took so much stuff for just one night, eat Greek yogurt, watch TV, sit on the deck with the girls, and read this. It's really good...it's about a teacher with a horrific sad event in her life...what actually happened has so far only been alluded to and it's about her fiancé...she is supposed to teach this class of five delinquents...they are bad, sarcastic, disrespectful and totally dysfunctional. And so far opposed to anything she suggests...

I will also fondly admire my new nail color...

I will also look at awesome sweaters, jackets and poncho-like things at Free People and Urban Outfitters...and this red buffalo checked one at Nasty Gal...and think about the nip in the air that is just around the corner!

Right now...moving is not an option I am entertaining any time soon!

Happy Tuesday...I think!

Oh My...Our Torturous Fun Torturous But So Much Fun Weekend! (Sorry if this posts twice!)

We drove three hours yesterday to get to New York to see Keith Urban! Kitties stayed home...lol...we checked in to our hotel...showered...lunched...brushed teeth...packed a backpack...and headed off to Woodstock! The concert was at 7:00...but...once you get to Woodstock there is at least a 20 minute walk to the entrance...even though we bought PREMIUM parking. Then from the entrance you have another incredibly long walk...at least a mile...through beautifully landscaped grounds and shops and vendors selling foods and stuff...and icy cold beers...millions of them! The concert was cold, tiring, exhausting, festive, freezing, and so much fun! I did not even realize that I liked Keith Urban...who knew! We woke up at 6 this morning and we were home by 11:30. Den has to be somewhere at 5...later today. He is racing around like a crazy boy...the girls and I are collapsed in bed. Showered, fed, unable to move...I made lunch for Den...emptied the dishwasher and collapsed...I don't think we have stopped moving since early yesterday. I am tired. I did not wear boots meant for walking...I did not wear boots...I wore cute strappy ankle wrapped sandals...which was a very bad idea. I should have worn Uggs and fleece!

But...the outfit of the day was short shorts...boots and big flowy ponchos! Plus no one sits down ever! People rock and sway and dance and sing and move! There was activity everywhere! I loved it but I am happy to be home!

Can I add a teensie I love Keith here? Sorry Nicole...sigh...

This was where Woodstock was!

The pavilion!

The girls were home alone...for barely 24 hours...our sitter was on her own vacay...so we timed Lucy's pills and puffer...over fed a bit...left plenty of water...and prayed! Other than being clingy...they really were fine. I would never leave them for longer than this...without a sitter...but hopefully they appreciate us more...lol!

Plus they picked up a few bad habits while we were away! Sitting on the Xfinity box!

I barely read while we were gone...normally I can read in the car on my Kindle but there was so much traffic and roadwork...I could not read...but...I started this...and it starts out really good!

Ok...off to unwind!
