So...Who Had The Brilliant Idea Of Getting Two Trees?

Actually I think I did...but...we have always had really tall trees...the sun room is at least 20 feet to the tippy top so we always got the tallest trees ever! Then depending on our mood we might put the tree in the living room...but still we would get a tree that was at least 9 feet tall...they were always beautiful but amazingly hard to get home, wrestle into the house and into the stand. Plus...of course...I am the designated holder while Den tries to get it into the stand...ick!

So...this year we actually have three trees...a baby live Fraser Fir in the bay window in Den's study...and a 6 1/2 foot live Fraser Fir in the corner of the family room and a 6 1/2 foot live Fraser Fir in the sun room...whew!

So...we thought that this would be so easy to do...we already have tree stands...and tons of lights and ornaments...but...the stands were too big for the trees! It was nightmarish and Den had to run out for different stands...but...we are now a 2 and 1/2 tree family...Den has new colored lights on the sunroom tree and I have lovely white lights on the family room tree and we are still almost speaking to each other! Barely! Almost! Sort of!

Our trees were born here! Love their sign!

Trees stuffed in the rig!

Separated by two trunks!

We got cookies! They had cookies...sugar cut outs and ginger spice at the tree store!
Den dropped them and now we have cookie pieces!

Is this safe? Driving with all these trees in the car?

Happy Tuesday!

Oh...when I am awake...I am reading this!

  1. Well, it sounds like a fun time was had by all. And nothing about about Lucy and Roxie! I am shocked.

  2. What fun! No matter how much trouble it was, I think it's awesome to have trees in different rooms....now, photos of the decorated trees, please!

  4. All those trees- you two have a lot of patience. Getting the tree in the tree stand is always a challenge! Your house must smell great. :)

  6. I bet the rig smelled really good. A lot of us California folks do artificial trees because it's too dry here for them to last beyond a week. The last time we did a real tree was when the girl was just born. I picked the tree in the pouring rain, thinking it would get a good drenching... it was dead a week later and Christmas was over ten days away.
