So Many Books!

Well...here is yet one more thing I have learned about me as a reader...I can read two books at a time and I sort of like it! But...I know I have said this before...one is a real book and one is on my Kindle Paperwhite...but it works! It really works! Except that my Kindle and my book can't be on the same floor. My book stays downstairs and my Kindle stays upstairs...now that's not too obsessive...is it? This rule can not be broken...ever!

So...I am alternating these two...this week.

Upstairs book...

Downstairs book...

Both are so good I can't stand it!

On a sad note...there is nothing in this house to actually eat...so I am going to read for an hour and then trek to Whole Foods for provisions! Whole Foods has these amazing veggie potstickers that I sauté...then make a dipping sauce for...Den is a boy who lives for sauces. Then I sauté Dragon Kale...with a teensie bit of olive oil and fresh garlic...and voila...we have dinner!

Yum!

I also want to make these...later in the week...both are baked...this one is roasted Italian cauliflower from EVERYDAYMAVEN.com.

This is totally baked fish and chips from PureWow.com.

Den just called. He forgot his Invisaline braces...did I mention he is wearing those...and his meetings are done so he is meeting me at Harvest...a restaurant near Whole Foods and taking me to lunch!

Now I get to read longer and still get groceries!

Happy Reading!

  1. I found out about your blog through Laurel Rain Snow's blog; now following by email. Hope you enjoy those books; I haven't read them but have heard about them. And your cooking looks awesome--I would love the roasted cauliflower dish, yum!

  2. I like cauliflower but lately, I have seen it as a substitute for things and I can't help but think, come on... it's NOT going to taste like a chicken wing. LOL. In your recipe, it just seems to be itself and not masquerading as something else so maybe it will be good!

I am craving noodles now but have some broccoli cheddar soup for lunch and it's supposed to be gluten free. I plan to eat soup, and read my book.

    1. That's the best kind of lunch! Soup and a book! I had a winter salad topped with grilled salmon...it was yummy!

  4. I love fish and chips....especially with the malt vinegar (is that what it is?). Yum.

I can read more than one book at a time if they are different genres...mystery with memoir, or with contemporary fiction.
