Hot! Hot! Hot!

The rainy days are gone...for a while...and now we are smack dab in the midst of a heat alert...temps in the 100's? And our lovely East Coast high humidity! The air is so thick and wet that you almost can not breathe.

Plus after so much rain...I will need to actually go outside and water! My pots will dry out in seconds.

This weather cries out for early watering and tons of glasses of iced tea and water and salads for dinner! Cold crisp chilled salads! And Popsicles! Yum!

I love to get anything I need to do done early so my day is free to read...and watch Big Brother After Dark...sigh! And now I am slightly hooked on The Hero...double sigh!

I am in a YA kind of reading mood...and Edelweiss had a plethora of irresistible titles...here are a few titles! Love you, Edelweiss!

I "borrowed" this from Amazon Prime and it was so good...so sad...so wrenching...Emma struggles with an abuser...in the first book...and there is healing of a sort in the second book and there is a third book, too...it's called The Breathing Series. I can't put down the second book now...

Stay cool!

Buona Lettura!

  7. We are still in the 100s...104-106 today, which is cooler than our 110 from last week.

I had to go out this morning to the eye doctor, as I had a new "floater" that was huge, like a spider...creepy.

I figured it was just the ordinary kind, but they always want to make sure the retina is intact.

    It was.

But my eyes were dilated for several hours, so I've only recently resumed reading.

    Enjoy your evening!
