Salad Frenzy?

Love this book...just got it...it's so easily organized. We truly eat tons of greens...and salad for dinner is what we do much of the time. I love it because I can do all of the prep ahead of time...when Den comes home...all I do is pull it out of the refrigerator whenever we are ready!

Allows us the time to chat before dinner!

The salads are not complicated...at all...last night we had Salad Nicoise...a simpler version than I was used to...extremely good.

Tonight it's a Cobb Salad! In fact it's chilling right now! All of the salads have lovely easy to make simple dressings...yum!

So...are you a salad eater and if you are...what is your favorite salad?

  2. I love salad but I live with someone who wants traditional meals. Boo!
BUT since I make the dinners and he never gives me input in any form other than a complaint, I pretty much make what I want. If I include one traditional meal a week, I can get away with it.

My fave salad meal is a Kale Caesar Salad with crisped prosciutto and a poached egg.

I'm going to look for that book.

  3. Salads have been a challenge for me because of the gluten allergy. I used to love a good Cobb but I can't do blue cheese anymore because of it. I also love a good Chinese Chicken Salad but can't do that one either because of the dressing and usually... the wheat crunchy things they put in it.

Lately, I just like peppery greens with tuna salad on top and maybe some hard boiled egg.

  8. We have lots of salad for dinner! But- not as much during the winter. Now we are starting our salads again. We mix it up a lot. One of my favorite things to have in salad- avocados. :)
