I Am Sick Of My Whining...So You Must Be Too!

There is seriously something wrong with me when I get a message on my reader that a book license has expired and I am happy...really happy!

Remember when I said I had a book reviewing schedule and I loved it? Well...I don't any more. If I follow it I will read a book a day for the rest of my life! I have already read 6 long books this year...and I am not happy! I am trying to fit my life in to my reading schedule. I am never not reading. If I am not reading I feel guilty. I don't know how this happened and I don't know how to fix it.

I think I need an intervention. Or something. I used to be so well rounded...now I am all bumpy. Sigh! I love to read...but I think I am overdoing it. Just a bit?

This week I should read these...

I think I can...but I do not even know if I want to. And it's all my very own fault. It's all me. So sad...even Lucy is questioning my decision making. My head is always in a book and I am not a good listener any more...double sigh! Den and Lucy are complaining...lol...

  1. Just read what you want! If you force yourself to read those books you won't enjoy them as much and you'll burn out.

    1. I know you are right...I feel badly about the unread ones! I think I need to toughen up!

    2. Just stack them in a closet, or somewhere you can't see them...soon you'll forget about them! I know, because I had to do that!

  2. Just read what you want. I thought that was your plan for the year.

  3. I seriously don't know how you do it! All I can suggest is that you listen to your heart :)

    1. I know...I don't know how I do it either...I have always been a perfectionist...that probably adds to my insanity. My house has to always look prepped!

  5. I think we are all going through overload on reading/reviewing. We have to stop accepting so many review books and start reading whatever we feel like reading! I remember those days....sigh.

  6. I am staging an intervention! Your teaching ways are coming out (as a teacher I know and recognize the signs). I say pick some books you want to read simply because you want to read them and read those next. Let your schedule loosen a bit- so you don't feel guilty about not reading and end up not wanting to read! Maybe alternate a free choice and an obligation? Something that gives you a little more time. :) Good luck!

  7. That's why I don't do reviews. Read for fun that's it! Challenges even got to be too much none of those anymore either. All three of those book covers look really good though:)

  8. I feel your pain. I was seriously starting to feel burned out, which added to my needing to take a break. (I will be back blogging very soon.) I definitely have learned to not take on everything, pick & choose.
